Good evening everyone, got a check engine light on my 2022 gt2 code "P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2." I understand that there is a total of 4 O'2 sensors with 2 being on each side, I was curious if anyone else has gotten this code and happened to know which sensor I need/which side its on/before or after. thank you for looking.

bank 2 is right side. Since it's "catalyst efficiency" it's the "downstream" sensor which is after the cat.
Note that it's very very rarely actually the O2 sensor that has the problem. This could be a clogged cat (due to something else), a leak in the exhaust, some other fueling/performance problem.... lots of possibilities. Really need to run the diagnostic tree before throwing parts at it.
Buying a cheap O2 sensor is literally the worst thing you can do. Get a brand name - bosch or ntk - sensor from a trusted source - not amazon. O2 sensors really do last 100k+ miles without any issue.

sounds great, thank you very much for the info

I’m trying to change bank 2 sensor 2. Driver side downstream. It’s a pita and still haven’t been able to do it.

Photos from shop manual if anyone needs or wants them.

I bet I know why: the passenger/right side bank is further forward, and where cylinder 1 is. Driver/left bank is behind it with the even cylinders.
Yup, precisely. IIRC, every manufacturer - at least modern - numbers the most forward cylinder as #1. Right side bank of a V being forward of the left bank is very uncommon.
