I have a 21 GT AWD AND I HIT 153mph it then immediately knocked me down to 151 And kept me there. So if you have a AWD it’s safe to say you can do 151 just 2mph over what they say but I did I 175 on my bike and there is really no reason to ever go that fast. I felt safer on my bike going to fast. Trust me 150mph is fast As hell. I was heading home from work at 2am no traffic on hwy and it was incredible going to fast I was bummed about the 167. But not I’m over it. Unless you hit a track I don’t get care to hit more then 120 then start slow back down. You really can’t comprehend mentally how fast 150 plus is. Trust me I love going fast I average 13mpg. Heavy foot. Plus I have a JB4, air take kits, upgraded speak plugs and a JUN BL Dow pipe and cat back exhaust. Map 4 this things hits 100mph in no time. I’m not Saying go fast but be careful. Hit a track or drag strip. I did the 153 on a empty hwy but you Just never know what can happened at that speed. Almost lost my leg to my bike accident just be smart. Hitting a track in august very excited.

Sorry so long and just. Heads up had my 3400k mi 21 stinger towed in for what seems like transmissions issues and bad. Will see what the issues is soon I’ll keep you guys posted

Man, call me disappointed now when I bought the car new, all my coworkers were asking, "how fast is it," "what's the top speed"? I was telling everybody that it'll do 167. I have a 2020 awd with 19" staggered all seasons. I at least try to max out every car I've owned at least once. Have only been up to 100 so far, which is a walk in the park.

120kph? We have highways in Canada with Max 110kph which you can safely do 125kph without getting pulled over. What are the speed limits near you? These cars are idling at those speeds lol

Im not sure the real top. But my 2018 has hit 145 or so maybe 149 on speedo and it was accelerating still more than a couple mph every couple seconds but i ran out of road. According to the rpm range this car unrestricted 'could reach' 160+ no problem. The real issue is the rotationg mass at 8th gear that is just hell for our v6 to power through. More power and less restrictors and i would say 180 is plausable with the gears we had factory.

Dude I feel your pain. I was so mad and confused when I hit 153 and it sputtered a little then dropped to 151 and wouldn’t move past. I tired again And same thing lol I really wanted to hit 167 once. I heard a RWD guy said he hit 171

I definitely have always been a fast driver since the day I got my first car. A sports bike was even worse for me to have but I bought my stinger in October of 20 and i just recently started driving normally for about a week but it’s a challenge lol

Well from what I was told the RWD car when they first came out in 18 was a top speed of 167. I know a mechanic who has hit over 170 but those had summer tires on them from the factory. Once they came out with the AWD and all season tires they had to drop the top speed to 149mph. But like you said you remove that limiter I’m sure you could hit high 180s but I would probably put Perelli‘s on it first lol

I’m in Michigan. Most highways are 70mph and some they bumped up to 75mph but you can pass state police doing 80mph in the 70mph zones and 85mph in the 75mph zones and never get pulled over. I’ve never been pulled over doing 10 over. Michigan state police are pretty cool. You get wreck less tho they will hit you hard

Any UHP tire with a "Y" on it is good to go. The Nitto Motivo A/S I use in winter are "Y" rated and just as ready for 167+ speeds as any summer "Y" tire.

That’s just what I read on KIA disclaimer on their website about the AWD tires having to be pro rated at 149mph. Mine came with the Michelin all season.

"Nine you're fine, ten you're mind", is a maxim to live by when traveling. If you know your local situation is exceptionally lenient, fine.

Most highways here are 90-100kph.
The problem isn't the speed limits, but the design of the highway are too winding. Not many straight roads here.
Speed limits are enforced oppressively .

Has anyone actually hit their top end speed? I have a 2021 Stinger GT 3.3L hit 153mph and my car stopped climbing. Tried again and same thing. I was under the impression it was a top out of 167mph? I went to their website under disclaimer I’m seeing 149mph top speed. Anyone know more about this?

Yesterday I hit 152mph in 7th gear, paddle shift to 8th gear and it stayed at 152mph. 2020 stinger gt2 awd. Jb4 map 2, borla exhaust, oil catch can, k&n cold air intake, big mouth snorkels. Aftermarket FMI. I gapped a Ford Focus RS hatchback, looked in side mirror and he was no where to be found. Let off gas pedal then he reappeared, and he must have shifted into 12th gear or something, cause he was gone, I know there top speed is 165mph

Where the heck you driving that fast at? Can't bring myself to get up that high. I got pulled over doing 102 so I'm probably not driving that fast ever again unless I'm on a track.
