Monday I installed the stage 3 Thorton tuning chip on my 2021 Stinger GTline 2.0t, I followed instructions and drove the 50 to 150 miles before passing judgement, I can say this, I truly have noticed a difference, The car is pulling harder than I could believe a 2.0L ever would, the shifts are quicker and I 3rd gear hits you in the gut. It seems to be coming on slower than I wanted at first, but after two days of driving i can't wait to get it back on the track, looking forward to Friday night...What should i do next?

Intake/exhaust/intercooler.

What hks plugs are you running?

Well I have a JB4 tune, so with the increased HP and boost, a "colder" than stock plug is needed or you'll run into issues.

Did you collect any data to prove their claims? I think you may be feeling some placebo effect. I really doubt what you bought will give the results they claim for the price they charge.

And how can they specialize in every single auto manufacturer's ECU? C'mon man...

What a load of crap. It is 100% placebo. There is nothing inside of it except a board to make the lights light up. These things get destroyed by smart people on the web all the time.

Do you really think that for $60 they will increase the h.p. And gas mileage? Don't you understand why they say it does not interfere with your warranty? Because it does not do anything.

@Drew9971 see if you can return your chip thing for a refund.

You can spend $4.24 to buy the exact same light box from China. No sense paying full price for placebo. Treat yourself to a 95% discount!

Or if you're interested in getting into the business you can save on shipping and buy in bulk. Here's 100 of the units for $479.

I hear what you are saying, i get that and i've been building tuner cars for years, my last car was a 2010 STI running 9's in the 1/4, so i know mapping systems, thats all i'm saying, no hp gains, just mapping on throttle and trans shifting points, the dyno had a 4-HP gain, probs temperature and octane tuning, nothing more, but its shifting sooner on the desk top dyno and emissions output says 110/km CO2 when the first test was putting out 90/km CO2, so there is more fuel getting in, so this thorton chip is doing a few things....PLACEBO....????

Have you read ANY of the links that have been posted in this thread?

Chances are the leads are not even connected to anything on your car except power and ground. It CANNOT work. The chip cannot even hold any type of program that would communicate with your car.

I came from a twin turbo car that took a real tune. There is no maybe I will feel it after a little driving. It is either tuned or not.

I won't be tuning this car, but I do use the wind booster so I do not have to put my foot down on the pedal so much.

Why do you think there are so many videos as well as a couple of websites saying that they don't work? It does not look like they have anything to gain.

Yes. You can't change shift points or anything with the Tcu unless you flash it.
How did you have a 9 sec sti, which was obviously a built block, big turbo etc. And then end up with a POS tuner? Get a Jb4 or at the least a racechip.
