Maybe. But you have to admit - this post from @B Sharp sounds kind of encouraging. I mean - at least it offers an explanation as to the confusion. Then again, Australia is missing colors. So what happened there? Anyway, here's the jist of it:

The Kia website is only showing a limited amount of color combinations because certain colors and combinations are only be sent to specific states for the first wave of deliveries. This representative said we'd have Sunset Yellow and Deep Chroma Blue in the United States - just not every state will receive them in that first wave. The website only shows the color combinations that every state will be receiving initially…

Could Kia be listening?

IF this is the case, then it might bring me back in the fold. It would be deep chroma blue for me. Sounds like it'll be a while before this is an option though so it'll probably be around the same time that the G70 is out. I'll compare them and decide. The color I want would likely make me care less about the features I won't get just because I prefer the Kia and the space it offers.

Hopefully, they'll put something in writing themselves and show it on the site. I wonder if that could also mean that they may sell Canadian spec'd vehicles (i.e. with 360, rear heaters, etc) just not everywhere. We'll see, but they might help keep some folks from jumping ship by putting out something official.

But will the deep blue have red leather as an option. I want red or blue with red Napa.

Is there a link that someone has to ask kia corporate a question?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I received an e-mail last night from Kia Motors America encouraging me to "Create Your Ideal Stinger". The opening portion of the e-mail is pictured below.

Also pictured is the "really small print".

I'm going to take them at their small words and hope to be able to actually create my "Ideal Stinger", or even my "Close to Ideal Stinger".

Mentioned in footnote #3,
  • "Expected arrival late 2017. Initially available only in certain markets with limited availability".
And in the third paragraph,
  • "KMA reserves the right to make changes at any time for any reason or for no reason as to vehicle availability, destination and handling fees, colors, materials, specifications, features, accessories, packages and models."

As of now I'm on the fence but potentially this could bring me back in. I want deep chroma blue with red Nappa leather. iron out a few more issues in the 2019 model year and I will be one of their first sales

I'm not really clear on what you're proposing. The marketing email is just notification that the build & price function is now available (which we obviously already knew). The build function doesn't offer any new choices.

I honestly don't think this means anything other than you can go to their website and build and price. That's just something they have to put in there to say things are subject to change.

My reading, as obtuse and hopeful as it might be, is that in footnote #3 they are disclosing, which heretofore has mostly gone unconfirmed by Kia, that not only is it being sold in limited dealers/markets, but there is also limited availability. Which when combined with the disclaimer that they can "change anything for any or no reason", may mean again with a hopeful reading, that a wider availability of colors and options could be here in the US before the '19 model year.

I certainly understand the "no reason" reasoning given the current status of available options & colors.........

I wonder if Ceramic Silver will be out this month?

I'm at my dealer now and he said he'll have a GT2 Ceramic Silver by December 20th!

I've seen several Ceramic Silver GT2 AWD configurations in the US now doing a search. Found them in IL, NC, CO, VA.

In the North East we are still waiting for the GT2 to arrive. My own dealer and others in the area have said the first GT2 AWD coming in are the red ones that came in the first wave out west. And they are coming in 18" wheel configuration with the All Season tires. I probably won't see the color I want until mid Feb. No Silky Silver yet in that configuration, but they have started coming in Ceramic Silver.

On one hand, I'm sorry to hear that. You really need to be patient. :( Like you haven't been patient all this time as it is. On the other hand, by February we'll probably be seeing a lot less dealer markup on the Stinger. So it could be easier to get a good price by then...

I ordered the same configuration in NY and the dealer has no idea when it will be in.

January 20th the Red GT2 AWD in 18" will be in Newburgh, NY. My dealer told me they have one on the way.

Sorry, I thought you were getting Ceramic Silver. There are getting 160 Red GT2's in the Northeast starting mid-Jan. No idea when Ceramic Silver GT2 AWD with 18" A/S will make it to the Northeast.
