stone chip bumps

Can anyone teach me how to fix these chips which they shifted up after flying stones on the highway? as shown in the pics, chips are not leveled and raised up like a tiny bump.

i dont think using Dr.colourchip or Chipfixx(Canada) will fix because the bump will still be there after filling the chip w/ paint

I guess I should sand it down first?

Howdy and welcome.

By appearances, those are not just "chips"; they look like peeled paint right down to the black plastic. (and you left a bug there to be photographed!? ) If this is a paint failure, it is covered by warranty for 36 months.

As for repairing it on your own: if the peeling continues (gets bigger), you're not going to be fixing anything.

But if it is only limited to that one spot, you can wet sand it down (lightly! with lots of water): get your touchup paint and use a flat brush, one pass; let it dry thoroughly, lightly wet sand again; repeat until it's as smooth as you know you can get it, then stand back c. six feet: if it doesn't flag your attention (pull your eye to it as you walk by), then that's as good as it gets, short of a professional repair. Make sure that you use a hand polishing compound on the area, because no matter how carefully you sand, you'll dull some of the surrounding clear coat; then give it a couple or three coats of wax.

Once you've fixed everything, either by yourself or a pro repair, get PPF on the front pronto! (I shudder to think of what my front end would look like now at 41 months, if I had not put PPF on at three months - when I first noticed the road attrition starting to multiply.)
