Stinger VIP line?

So I read quite a few posts regarding the VIP line for Stinger owners, but it seems to me that it is/was for you early adopters. When I purchased my Stinger, nobody at the dealer knew anything about it. So, what was it supposed to be?

A good sounding idea? Everyone who has called the available number(s) just gets "good ol' Kia Corp" (by any other name); a crap shoot of the first order; some satisfaction; some contrarywise. Etc. I can't weigh in on there ever being an actual "VIP hotline for Stingers, because I've called maybe twice (buyout question and map upgrade) and neither was a "VIP" question. Back on March 16, 2018, this was supposedly the "Premium Team" number: 855-542-7733
