Stinger Owners.....what other cars made your final list?

Heavily considered a used Jaguar XE 35t R-Sport AWD really liked it alot, great interior sounds excellent, handling, looks, good power, AWD, couldn't come to grips with price on it though.

I was also looking quite a bit at used Cadillac CTS-V 2010-2013 years i really liked those cars and they could be had well within the mid 30K price but finding a good example was a little troublesome and it was pricey to put a set of snow tires on the staggered wheel sizes of the CTS-V (Needed for Colorado). As my only car the CTS_V makes for a thristy DD 14mpg avg lol. Had 2015-2017 mustang GTs on the radar again since I had a 2015 mustang V6 that was struggling for power at this altitude but really wanted a sedan again.

I needed a DD to replace my rather staid but thrifty Lincoln MKZ hybrid, and decided I wanted a sport sedan. Other cars I was considering were the Mercedes AMG C and E class, Alfa Romeo Guilia, Buick Regal GS and TourX wagon, and the Volvo S60. The thing is, NONE of the other cars excited me like the Stinger did, mainly because of its looks. After reading the rave reviews and one test drive, I was sold. Never even drove any of the others. I now have a Micro Blue 2019 GT2 AWD, and I'm loving it. (Note: my other car is a 2016 Challenger Hellcat).

i first saw Stinger was in a Luxury Autoshow, my list that time was Mercs C200 and BMW330ie.

and it was suppose to be a luxury autoshow, so when i told the Mercs sales lady that i am considering Kia Stinger, she drop her jaw and counter confirmed with me 3 times the name "KIA", she said she cant believe a buyer comparing a KIA and Mercs, in fact she did not know that KIA have any cars that eligible to be in this Luxury Autoshow (the show have most giant luxury player you can name of).

well, i am happy i selected Stinger.

Is that the one that has about 100 less HP and about 150 less torgue?

I was thinking fit and finish....some youtubers "whine" about the quality of the Stinger....to my untrained eye and touch ,it seems more European than anything......damn badge whores!

Did anyone research or have first hand experience with VW Arteon?

Honesly, In Germany it's way more populare than the Stinger but still very rare.
The Arteon is surely a good car ( probably the best in there lineup) , but a german car Magazine compared and tested the 2 cars and the Stinger won! In Germany, the german car will win such test 90% of the time, they will make some thing up to let german car win.

So idk I have no experiance with the car, but I guess you will pay at least 10-15k more to get the same Features. And I have no issues with the Stingers quallity at all, yes there is a difference between the Stinger and let's say an Audi A7 or what ever, but you pay 30k less for the stinger, so...

and btw I hate the VW interior in General :lipsaresealed: It's as dry as german Humor :rofl:

I went ahead and bulid one online
1. the biggest engine has 272HP. so we have to compare it to the 2.0 Stinger.
2. baseprice -> Arteon (R-line) 51675,00€ - Stinger 2.0 44490,00€ - V6 55000€
3. ~same extras-> Arteon 8925€ (+1240€ Nappa leather) - Stinger 2.0 5300€ (everything in it) - V6 690€ (coulor :rofl:)
4. Total ->Arteon 60600€ (61840€) - Stinger 2.0 51080€ - V6 56590€

The difference is not sa big as I Thought :eek:. But no comparrison to the V6

Eliminating cost to purchase..... Stinger or A7?
I'm afraid of the quad-E....EUROPEAN EXPENSE EXPERIENCE EFFECT....

My other finalists (all slightly used):

Audi S5 Sportback
BMW 440i Gran Coupe
Cadillac ATS-V
Chevy SS

I came close to pulling the trigger on the S5 SB and ATS-V. The S5 I was looking at sold right before I got a chance to go test drive it and there were no others with the specs I wanted and the ATS-V interior is awful, especially the CUE infotainment and the gauge cluster.

I was looking at Prius and Tesla X too.

REALLY? Prius......c'mon....
Yeah I was going to go a couple routes. Fun car like Mustang GT 350 or even a grand sport c7 corvette or something boring but sensible like Prius or new gen Nissan Leaf. Was very close to Leaf. I decided on Kia as long range commuter . As a car enthusiast just couldn’t do responsible thing and get high mpg low cost car. Went with one that stirred my emotions.

Honeymoon, over.:thumbdown:
No I still love her like day one. Maybe even more. Just want her fixed an back on the road . Will be sad day when I sell her for the new sports car. Aside from horrid dealer experiences and regular annoying issues with squeaks and rattles and bad brakes and electrical gremlins love her.
