• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Stinger Insurance in Melbourne

NRMA, renewal came in, $1211.95, that includes 65% no claim bonus and 17.5% loyalty discount. $850 excess and agreed value of $56,250. The premium has actually gone up $100 from last year and the agreed value has dropped $7,750. Never had an at fault claim, spotless driving record. It would appear NSW gets ripped off as much as Victoria or the insurance companies simply have no idea about the Stinger and are just making shit up as they go.
Probably starting to get a better feel for average claim costs so in time I believe all Stinger premiums will rise. Most companies will budget for a 5-10% premium increase but certain vehicles will escalate according to claim cost and frequency.

Totally agree, it was reasonably cheap in the first year, but once they realise the cost of replacement parts ie: headlights, windscreen etc. the premiums will rise.

My second year was about the same as the first year. I have 5 policies with the one company. Hopefully next year it doesn't sky rocket.

Completed a quote online with AAMI, $1262 for $65,000 with an excess of $650, but will talk to customer service over the phone, AAMI has always been cheapest for me, even when i had the VL Turbo, cheaper than anyone else.
Why worry about how much its insured for, because most have 2yrs replacement if under 40,000 ks anyway...just list your options thats all you need to do...then do agreed value after that time...Also look for insurance companies that charge for how much you drive, you can get much better price if low ks...

Just renewed with AAMI recently for the second time for my Stinger, Comprehensive insurance of course, it lost a massive $8000 in value from last year, i called and they gave me a decent discount, so i included glass insurance , and all for less than the premium it was before i called.
