Hi there, just received a notification from Kia New Zealand regarding the range to be sold here. It hasn't been released to the media as yet. So us Kiwis are getting 3 models- two of the 2.0 turbos and one top spec 3.3 tt GT. No news on the pricing as yet. Additionally, there's no news on whether we will have the option of the enhanced exhaust- probably not. Judging by what has happened in the past, we'll probably get ours a month or two after Australia. Big news for us potential Kiwi Stingers owners, nothing much to crow about for the rest of the world, I know.

Yea pricing live now too.

Wow, thank you Skyguy! That's way too expensive (3.3GT) for me. I'm shocked at the pricing. I was expecting around NZ$65K-68K. Quite disapointed. Many thanks though for the update. Time for a re-think me thinks.

Yea my dealer told me that would be the price a couple of months ago. About $7-10k more than I was hoping and expecting too, but when you look at the spec level I think it's justified. Just a lot of money though. Atleast our on road cost are only about $650.

Is this from the Kia NZ website? I can't find it in there.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Yea it's pretty well hidden. You can't find it by navigating the site. Just google Kia stinger nz and you will find the direct link on there.

Haha. And so it has.

Wow and now its been removed

Tell all your friends who are interested in the Stinger to contact KIA NZ and raise a bit of hell over the high price. The appearing and then disappearing price page has all the characteristics of a trial balloon. Something leaked to test reaction before finalization. KIA can claim it was an internal memo and never meant for publication.

Great idea, you may be right. For what it's worth I've taken your advice and emailed Kia NZ, telling them how disappointed I am at the price. $75K is one year old Audi RS3 territory. Heck, there's a brand new Focus RS for $71K advertised in Wellington. I know they are different types of cars to the Stinger, but surely Kia can see they've made a mistake with the pricing in New Zealand ?

Received a reply from Dan Stowers- National Marketing Manager for Kia in NZ. See attached.
