Stinger Hot wheels

I bought a blue one off of Amazon for $5. It should be here tomorrow. Do you guys plan on keeping them in their package or are you going to release them?
Released the Blue one already. When the Grey gets in, I'll angle them nose to nose.

Have been searching for a few days and finally found one...Unfortunately, not my colour. I need a Ghost Grey!!!!! (Ceramic Silver is US Version)

Picked up 3 Blue. The Front of card States 2019 KIA STINGER GT, 3/10, 198/250, On the card Back ©2018. Embossed 06/20...

A Canadian Walmart...(Actually went to 3 different stores and dug through the bins)...$1.25 CAD Each!

Well that does it. A lot of places have a pretty big bin in the store that you have to dig through. Guess next time I go I'm just gonna tip that b*tch over and see what's in there lol.

I may paint the wheels gloss black when mine comes. The Ceramic Silver is close enough to Silky Silver, in 1:64 scale, that I won't quibble. :D

(edit: Ceramic Silver arrived, and is "released" :) )

What could be fun is to get wheels to "match" the Hot Wheels, including that satin grey. Might look pretty slick on the 1:1 Stinger. Then throw a Hot Wheels patch on the glass somewhere, or over the side brake vents, just to make the nod obvious. :D

When these things first came out I looked ALL over for one. Could never find one. A week ago I was at Kroger doing my normal shopping and I saw they had a Hot Wheels display. Right at the front were two Stingers. Picked 'em both up, left one in the box and this one is a desk toy now.

Wow thanks for the responses everyone! You're actually looking in a better spot than I have been. The one pictures shows copyright 2018 (which is all I find here), but I should be looking at the month/year date stamp I think. So maybe this thing might be kicking around somewhere.

I know there are a few others out there I'd like to get my hands on like the 97 Honda Prelude, but can't find that either.
Are you sure the issue is a '97....??

Noticed this one at a local Walmart while searching for a Ghost Grey Stinger...But it's '98

I used to own a 2001 Prelude, absolutely loved that car and still miss it to this day.

I think I just called it a '97 because that was the first year of 5th gen.

Back to Stingers, went to get groceries Friday and there were 3 bins of Hot wheels with some new cars I haven't seen yet. I looked through all 3 and did not find a single Stinger! So the search continues. I did find 5 new picks:

Second Gen RX7 (I have FB, FC and FD!)
Honda S2000 (finally!)
Koenigsegg Jesko
'19 Corvette ZR1 convertible
drawing a blank on the last one lol.

I'm trying to collect all generations of the Japanese legends, it's coming along. Have all the RX7, have (R30, R32, R33, R34, G37 and GT-R R35) for Skyline, (240Z, Z32 300ZX, 370Z), '95 Supra. Still need some of the other legends and their lineage.

Congrats on your find, you sound like a true collector...

I'm not a Hot Wheels Collector...just wanted a Grey Stinger. Have to settle for the Blues so far.
What does (I have FB, FC and FD!) mean?

Where are you located?
Do you have a Stinger yet?

The collection just....happened, lol. I think I picked up a Bugatti Veyron in 2004 (that is my most valuable piece right now, I think) and it just kind of went from there.

Those acronyms are generations of Mazda RX7 - 1st Gen = FB, 2nd Gen = FC, 3rd Gen = FD.

I'm up in Canada (Edmonton). I had a Stinger but it had a few quirks I couldn't get past, plus it got hit last winter and that was the last straw for me, I was ready to move on, so I'm in the BMW M240i right now. It wasn't cheap, but it's fun and I really appreciate the smaller footprint. I don't need such a large car, the wife has a SUV for the larger transport needs.

I have a display that can hold 100 cars, I think I have somewhere between 120 and 130 right now so I need to rotate when I get new ones:

Wait you're married and have that hot wheels collection at the same time?

I don't give her too much flack about little kid Disney movies that she likes.

Also, it's probably my cheapest hobby at only about a buck something per piece, so she knows if I get into something else it's just going to cost more, lol. Probably about picking your battles.

All things considered, that display (we) made was her idea!

I cheated for both my hot wheels via eBay. I wasn't able to find it in any of the hot wheels bins locally. In the background is one of the pullback Stingers via Amazon.
