Stinger GT-Line Canada

The GT-Line was added to Canada's line-up for 2019. This is the 2.0T version similar to the U.S. but with some differences. In Canada the GT-Line has the same exterior as the GT...same aggressive front, LED headlights and tail lights, black chrome mirrors, body color door handles and fancier side vents. AWD is standard. The interior is pretty much the same except it has the D steering wheel and the 9 speaker system. Unfortunately there is no premium version or I may have gotten this instead of the GT Limited. I can't figure out why Kia has all these differences between Canada & U.S.

I hear ya. It baffles me as well as to why Kia has different trims between Canada and the US as well as different colour combinations. In the US you can get the red interior with any exterior colour. In Canada, you have the option of 3. White, Black and Dark Grey. Why? In Canada we HAVE to buy the car with AWD but in the US it's optional. Again, why? I summer drive my car so don't need or want AWD.

In the US on the 2018 models they offered yellow and silver as exterior colour options but we haven't seen those in Canada. The 2018 GT2's in the US were also lacking several options that our GT LTD's had in Canada so it goes both ways but I have a hard time understanding how any of this is efficient for Kia.

Kia Canada and Kia USA are different companies that spec each car for their respective countries , IE in Canada there will not be a RWD option , only certain colors and more options similar to the GT Limited , this is where they get efficiencies , I saw a GT Line at my dealer the other day and it really looks the same from the exterior except for subtle badging and wheels ..............are they selling ???

There is actually a lot missing on the GT-Line compared to the GT Limited. Even the GT is missing some essentials. What makes the GT Limited so good and an actual competitor are the options that can only be had on the GT Limited. Without those extras, one might consider purchasing something different; the GT-Line just isn't the car to have.

If there was a premium version of the GT-Line in Canada, I may have got it instead of the GT Limited. I do like that H.U.D. though. I test drove a GT-Line & it looks exactly like the GT (except for wheels), but I didn't want to give up the extra features. That GT-Line is still at the dealer.

I was looking at that option sheet, I didn’t see V6 on the GT or GT Limited. Thinking that the 2.0 has three trim levels but, now I see that the 2.0 is the “GT-Line” then it goes to the big boys.

Good catch, if that's the full spec sheet it's hilarious that they don't mention the 3.3L Twin Turbo engine upgrade that comes with the models above GT-Line.

I do love my GT but part of me wishes I would've gotten the Limited now...this always happens to me. Next car I'm going fully loaded for sure, I've finally learned my lesson. I'd say the things I'm missing the most are heads up display, upgraded 15 speaker system and the red interior. Things I'm not missing are the annoying safety gear like lane keep assist and the ugly adaptive rader cruise control sensor on the grill.

Does the GT1 or GT2 have “vented brakes?” I don’t think so....correct me if I’m wrong....

Yes the gt1 and gt2 have vented discs.
