I lost, but hung with him til half track.
He had me by one second @1000'
thats pretty good considering v6 vs v10 602 hp awd
and 280k
11.02@127 vs 12.23@115.04
.242 vs .247 r/t
7.18 vs 7.94 1/8 mile 90.56 vs 102.28 1/8 mile

perspective = I covered the last 320' in 1.96 seconds
Huracan in 1.76 seconds
Huracan 3135 lbs 5.70 lb/hp weight ratio
Stinger w driver and fuel 4398 lbs 9.77 lb/hp ratio
and he ended up with the same 12 mph advantage from the 1/8 to the 1/4
so, all in all, I think I had a pretty good showing
wish it would have been against my best of the night
where I actually had him at the 60' 1.762 vs 1.786
and he was ahead at 1000' by .88 seconds

huge Kudos for even trying !!

Sure, it was a bit of a mismatch, but a fun one! Awesome stuff

I am actually impressed. Twice the HP (almost), half the weight (almost) and triple the cost (give or take)

There is a lot of stuff that doesn't align. I like the fact that the little KIA put up a decent fight until they got north of 60MPH. That would certainly wake up a Hurrican driver on the streets

and triple the cost (give or take)

Tripple the cost? That's a lot of (give or take). That car costs 5-7 times what a Stinger does.

I would say I'm impressed to the point I'm actually shocked. Very respectable showing!

Kato's 11.59 would have been a great race

Eh, I’m not too versed in Lamborghini prices.

If you have way to much money $150K to $261K is a solid “give or take”.

Wow....the result was expected, but what a great showing. It was a lot closer than I had thought.

The Huracan has a base price of $275.000 $300k optioned, so yes, costs about 6 times as much.

Nothing wrong with a performance like that. Good job.

Awesome run man, and I appreciate you posting it! 12.2 is an awesome time for a Stinger, there is no doubt about it. That is a very respectable and fast time for our cars.

But I hate to be the bearer of bad news and lay down the reality of the situation. Please don't hate me!

You lost by 1.2 seconds. If he's doing 127mph at the end, that's 186 feet per second which translates to a gap of about 223 feet (186 fps * 1.2sec).
Since the Huracan is 14.7 ft long, that's a loss of about 15 car lengths or 5.5 bus lengths (assuming the average bus is 40ft long).

I can't argue with the math as I'm not a math wiz. But why is this bad news? I can't comment on the 5.5 bus lengths thing...but it IS a super car and it IS supposed to put bus lengths on others. BUT it IS a solid job by the stinger.

Having said that... I found some used school buses for about $14,500. So $14,500 would be about $79,750 for 5.5 school buses (not figuring in tax). So for $50,000 (new stinger GT2) and $79,750 (5.5 buses) = $129,750 (not figuring in tax), you'd still be cheaper than the Hurricane AND you'd have some cool buses!! Just saying.

Savage bro!!! Respect for taking an ass whoopin like a man and not using any excuses.....There is no shame to lose to a Lambo.

That is a really good showing! In real world conditions, how much would you miss being faster by 1.5 seconds, vs. the extra $250,000 missing from your wallet! It just shows you don't have to spend uber bucks to go fast.

(FWIW, the stock Hurican can do 0-60 in around 2.7 and 1/4 in 10.5 @ 132, but that's with a good driver - which we don't seem to have here! lol..)

LOL, I am going to argue with the math. The point in time where the Huracan reached 1320' is where you need to be able to estimate the position of the Stinger on the track as the distance lost by. You calculated how much further down the track the Huracan would be when the Stinger reaches the finish line, assuming the Huracan maintained 127mph for 1.21s (though the driver hopefully would be slowing). When the Huracan finishes the 1/4mi, the Stinger has 1.21s until it finishes. The Stinger has not yet reached 115 mph, though we know it was over 90mph at 1/8mi (I think twn2trbo had those splits reversed). Let's assume that over that last 1.21s the Stinger averaged 110mph. (110mph*5280ft/mi)/3600s/h = 161 feet. So twn2trbo actually lost by just a single length of a Boeing 767-200(ER) aircraft, or 2 lengths of an adult blue whale. Translated -Just 11 car lengths and only 4 bus lengths!:)

Wait, 5280' is a mile.
1320' is a quarter mile.

You’re right about the way to calculate it. I didn’t think about it, but your new numbers are slightly off.
Huracan is 14.7 ft long, 110mph=161.3 fps. So the calculation should be 161.3 fps X 1.2 seconds = 193.6 ft traveled / 14.7 ft = 13.2 car lengths.

Carp! I forgot to multiply the fps by the 1.21s time difference. Thanks for the correction. Now all my numbers are meningless. 2.4 blue whales just doesn't sound right.
