Did a quick search and didn't see anything about this yet. I noticed that when the steering wheel is dead center, the car ever so slightly veers to the right. In order to stay straight, the steering wheel has to be held slightly to the left.... not a lot like the alignment is way off or anything. At first I thought maybe just typical road crown, but seems to be same on either side of the road. Then thought maybe because of the particular driving mode I was in, but seems to be there for all driving modes. Then thought maybe air pressure in the tires is off slightly on the right side, but the tire pressure monitor says they are all the same (although after driving and having the tires warm up, the tires on the right side sometimes are 1 psi less than the ones on the driver's side).

I don't think it is a big problem yet (the car is a week old) but my OCD while driving goes crazy with the wheel not dead center.

I used to own a Toyota Corolla that had similar issues with the electronic steering and there was a TSB from Toyota on how to adjust the wheel/steering. Just wondering if anyone has heard of this with the Stinger?

Simple alignment issue. Mine was perfect till I lowered the car. Took it in to be aligned at the stealership.

Drove home and noticed it pulls way to much to the center line, and to drive straight, I have to maintain a 1 degree right turn of the steering wheel.

Will have them fix at next oil change.

Due to the way vehicles are ratcheted down for transport, most every new auto is mis-aligned at delivery. Your steering wheel can be totally straight and your car still be out of alignment. Kia covers alignments (adjustments) within the first 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. Go get you car aligned at your dealership. It'll save your tires from uneven wear and make for a pleasant driving experience.

I will see what the dealer says when I have it in next. It is not off that bad.

I just know that cars with electronic steering, like the Stinger, sometimes need to have their steering calibrated/recalibrated to "0" or straight and that the alignment will be fine.

It took my dealership until the beginning of May 2019 to have the specs for executing my first alignment on my GT2. I had achieved 18,000 miles. My steering wheel was perfectly straight and it did not drift in either direction. We don't have potholes in this part of the country and I traverse speed bumps with gentle care. I believe most of my alignment issues shown below were there when I took delivery. Here is the image of before and after. Only my passenger front is still out, due to a bent strut from someone who backed into my wheel (good grief). Part is on back-order....as usual for this car...

Wow. Talk about way of. Surprised you didn't notice anything. Does it drive differently now?

Toyota had TSB for some of their cars about complaints about the steering wheel being "off". Their procedure was to first check the alignment and if that was within spec to then recalibrate the electronic steering

Yes, it drives much better now. Without alignment specs, I went though 4 different sets of tires (poor discount tire) because my car was quite unstable at higher speeds. I used a level, strings, and such to measure plumb and tracking to prove something wasn't right. Just had to wait on KIAUSA to update the dealer alignment machine. Crazy.
