I have a question is anyone running the new Alpha TCU by BMS or the stage 3 by sixth? Any feedback supposedly the launch control is unlocked so you don’t need the brake snip to build boost. Anymore that knows more share feedback?

Just got the Race BEF + Alpha TCU and it runs really well. Shifts are quick, snappy and eco/comfort work perfectly.

Haven't tested the LC but if I do I'll update you

What have you used to tune your TCU?

All these Alpha TCU are copy n paste of the version that Pearly has after dealing with the endless revision agony. So Pearly saved you from that nightmare. Can or can't boost launch with BMS alpha TCU depends on calibration but you'll need a brake snip by the end of the day since even if you can launch with boost it's still not as hard as brake snip. Once Terry got the boost launch limiters dialed it will work as brake snip. At that time you can simply ditch the brake snip harness or convert it to AWD harness if you go drag racing on prepped track. Able to clean the rear tires before launch is essential by then.

For sxth TCU, yes they said it's short shifted but the shift points are off for almost everyone. You're either doing 5600rpm or 6300rpm. Could be worse, 1-2 and 2-3 is always late shifted comparing with the rest of gears so big power killer for 2nd and 3rd. If you don't get it dialed right. Launch wise yes it will launch like lap3 TCU, a working Lozic(if it works) and brake snip. But that's my complain. Me and Adoom here had been asking them to lift the limiters for AWD cars to launch since Feb 2023 and SXTH ignored our suggestions until summer 2024 they released boost launch out of nowhere. Get ready for this level of communication if you are getting SXTH TCU and want it to be dialed to shift as BMS TCU.

I just bought the BMS alpha tcu tune increase of the stage 3 sixth. I just uploaded it and have not had a chance to drive. This Saturday will be going to the track to do quarter mile.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Which tune you think is better stage 3 sixth or BMS tcu tune?

I like sxth shifting but nothing can replace BMS shift points thanks to Pearly here. Make sure your car can do boost launch without brake snip first before going to track. Power cut after you let go the brake pedal would be a big disappointment at track. If you have brake snip already then it's the best. Don't hesitate flip the switch. It will tame the limiters for putting down more torque on the glued surface. For sportsman tree, WOT at second yellow light and let go the pedal at green is always a decent launch for me with brake snip. Make sure launch in custom with AWD sets as comfort and everything else sport.

How I launched in the past is set to sport mode, set shut off mode off , traction control off and flip the switch. I build like 4 psi, and launch at like 3k rpm.

It’s worked ok but the best I got is 11.6 at quarter mile. Hopefully I can do better this time
