3.3TT SSR Performance Dual Front Mount CAI - PRE-ORDER SPECIAL! (pics/vid inside)

If we're worried about rain/car wash/etc. spraying in through the grill, what about cutting a large oval or couple of smaller ones out of the filter covers and pointing them towards the back. All spray will hit the covers, as they face to the front. Air can always, easily get in through the cut-out section(s).

Just clicked to go order. Now priced at over $700. And any orders after 2/19/19 won't be manufactured until July.

Yeah, lost my money, it seems.

Same with the downpipes...:(

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
May go the cheapest route for now, just to have intakes.

If I were to get something cheap I would go with the CX Racing Intakes myself. I think they look great, haven't seen any reviews on them yet.

Tork's (damnfastdd.com) are cheaper.

Or DIY for $100

So I have had these in since march and I have had no problems. I have driven threw a blinding rain storm and recently a storm passed through the area with 4 inches a hour and never had a problem. I will say I will not floor it while it is raining as I would like to keep the sucking of air to a minimum.
I also take my car to a touchless carwash. At first I turned the car off but now I just let it idle and have not seen any problems with the engine or the air intake. I really like them just when it rains I am more careful and put it in eco mode so I dont take off to fast.

Hope they become available again soon. I really wanted to get this setup along with an upgraded intercooler before dynoing again in the fall.

With regard to the touchless carwashes, I'm more concerned about the chemicals than water ingress.

And even then, my main goal is to minimize the number of times I have to clean / replace the filters. The bumper isn't designed to be taken off and on an unlimited number of times, and having something break would make for a bad day.

Yea that is true but if worries then u can buy these https://www.knfilters.com/mobile/mProduct.aspx?prod=RC-4690DR. It only takes 20 min to take off the bumper maybe less if u r experienced. So it shouldn’t be that bad

Still, the bumper isn't designed to be taken on and off frequently. Hardware and mounting tabs will start breaking.

I haven't taken a look or removed the bumper yet, is there no way to access that area from the the top, removing the plastic covers above the radiator area? For after installing the system, and maybe just taking a look at the filters or even removing them to clean them.

How do the filters look after being on the car for a while? So long as you're not having to take the bumper off too often to clean/replace the filters, like maybe a couple of times a year, I'd say that's a reasonable concession to make.

My filters look good, but I have filters for my filters. Which get sprayed off when I wash my car which seems to get most of the dust/debris off of them. :D

Ive had my intakes since march. The dealership had to do some work on 1 of my turbos. The actuator was making a squeak sound eveytime I would push the pedal down and engage the turbos.
While they were working on it I asked if they could check the intake and the turbo for damage or signs of debris inside.
Luckily they said they did not see any damage or traces or debris.

How are the filters holding up?

Here is 2 pictures of my filters. I probably need to brush off the folded parts. Only other problem I find is the pipes that run to the turbo get hot from engine.
