• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Every day when I drive to work and then back again, I get a spoken warning about a fixed speed camera ahead. The cameras I'm being warned about have been gone for years (I have the latest map data), but the warning tells me about the distance ahead the camera used to be, and lowers the volume of music playing. It's bloody annoying. I've tried looking for a way to turn it off, but must missing it. Anyone here know what it's under in the infotainment system?

Similar issues over here. The updates are so out of date sometimes i wonder if its even worth upgrading.
Yes, you can turn the alert off>>>>

It annoys me too. Thanks for the info Shannon.

Nice! Wish we had features like that on this side of the planet.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Hopefully when my new toy finally arrives mid Jan, it will already have the New updated maps installed, will be interesting to see if the new "Tonkin Highway" extension is there? (it's a Perth Australia thing)

Here's a related question: there are numerous red light and speed cameras in my city that have existed for 10+ years but aren't on the map. Does anyone know a way to add more speed/red light camera locations?

My $2000 nav is 10(??) years out of date. For $200 I can buy an update so it will only be 7 years out of date.

My $100 Radar Detector lets users add cameras, speed traps, etc. Then when it finds a wifi it updates to the national data base and gets itself a new copy - for free.

That's just wrong!

Probably wait another 10 years for the map supplier to get up to date.

Welcome to another Aussie, tell us about your Stinger and where you're located.

The latest maps are very old and outdated. We are on 12.x while the US is on 14.x.

The map people are hopeless in Australia. Having said that, even if we had the up to date maps it would still be rubbish compared to google maps. Does not even come close...

I agree. I'm beginning to feel with Apple car play that Sat navs are pretty much a waste of time now. The data is so old even when you have updated it that why would you even bother using it. I only run Waze now in my Stinger. I'm starting to think we will never get a new update this year anyway.

I'll be honest the Stingers Navigator is becoming a deal breaker along with Android auto. 34 months of patience is wearing thin. While im hear having to run the AC all the time is pxxsing me of to, i keep forgetting to leave it on. Any external temp over 25c leads to a greater temp in the cabin, poorly insulated. ...steps down and exits. Lol.

Have the same issue with my speed camera warning with my '2020' 3.3 GT Sport model - here (branded under the bonnet as 'made May 2019' - but sold new in NZ in November 2019).
However, after driving my wife's Hyundai i30 Elite cars (in seriatum) over the last five or so years I'm used to a much higher volume from the warnings (and also a like warning for changes in speed limits - not given in the Stinger????).
Any easy way to increase the warning volume - and is there a change in speed limit warning available?
Any advice gratefully received.
