Side mirrors

Hi All. The side mirrors on my 2021 3.3 tt stinger lights up for vehicles next to it in orange. Are the auto demist symbols also supposed to light up? As they have not done so even when in operation since I bought the vehicle. Please share your experiences so I know wether this is standard or needs repair under warranty. Thanks

Yes that is correct. The side mirrors show an auto demist function in black writing on the glass the same as overtake warning. Overtake warning when active highlights in an orange colour but the demist on the side mirrors do not hghlight. Is this normal or an oversight?

what country? I'm guessing it's the heated mirror symbol but in demist text in some places? I'd like to see a picture but no, only the blindspot light lights up here nothing else.

Why would you want the heated mirror to light up? Would it just be to notify you the heaters are "on"?

In Canada, my Stinger has heated mirrors and blind spot notification lights.

The mirrors are controlled by turning on the rear defog/defrost.

There is no independent control for the heated side mmirror. Rear defog/defrost and heated side mirrors are on the same circuit, same switch.

The blind spot LED in the mirror is the only light in the mirror.

Also my experience. Blindspot is the only thing that lights up.

I didn't know the rear defrost had any connection to the mirrors. In my other car they forked the HVAC through the door to defrost the mirrors. Honestly haven't looked to see if the stinger is the same. Is it electric? You 100% sure on that?

yea, comes on with the rear window defrost at least on our pre facelift ones. And also the facelift.. screenshot from my 2020 om and 2023 om.
