Do any of the very knowledgeable members of this board know if a roofrack system can be installed?
I am thinking of a slim aero ski box for the winter and a bicycle rack for the summer.
Thx for your input in advance.

I dont recall anything in the manual on it. My M3 has "flip up tabs" that reveal mounting holes for this but i have not noticed those on the stinger either. Most likely do to the way the sunroof opens.

Thx Mach_Tuck.
What about a trailer hitch for a stand-up vertical rack?
I guess I would have to not only consider the exhaust system but also the hatchback.

Nothing for the roof from Kia brand in Canada as of today but I can look tomorrow for a hitch for a bike rack off the back end for you.

Thanks.
Europeans think of these roof rack thingamejiggies and incorporate some hidden fastening holes into the door/roofline. They have lots of mountains and lakes. They are very outdoorsy.
I am surprised given the European designers involved in the stinger that we see today, that this was not thought of.

after looking at my stingers roof, i do not see any stock locations for a roof rack. there are aftermarket ones, thule for example, that will lock into place. not sure how with the doors having such a tight seal. as for bike racks, i have seen ones that will clip onto the lip of the open trunk, but again, i am pretty sure it will tear up or at the very least, crush the rubber seal around the trunk.

Lucky I have short skis then.
But seriously. I wonder if there could be retrofit option for the roofrack.
I am a little bit against a tow bar on this vehicle

that whole diffuser would have to be removed and cut to have a tow bar attached. i think.

Not an option for me.
I would just rather take the SUV then

i have seen panamera's with roof racks. and several a7's with those aero boxes, but i don't know if they were mounted to a stock fixed position.

just with a quick google search I found 3rd party roof options but they look like drilling is needed but do not state it. I'd trow those wee cargo ski's in the hatch and have a lot of room for well anything else...

Excellent. Just what I was looking for.
Hoping we get these accessories into our Canadian dealerships soon.

Does the OEM KIA roof rack (from Australia) play nicely with the sunroof? Can I get this kit in the USA?

Unless they are tall feet, not going to work with the sunroof. Especially the rear bar.

I run a Rhino Rack on mine and love it. I don’t really have any good photos. Next time I slap it on I’ll snap some more. No drilling for this.

So does yours have the sunroof? I can't tell from the picture.
I had a MINI Clubman with sunroof and their stock OEM roof-rack worked perfectly with the sunroof, I loved that about it. But the MINI had little cutouts in the roof rails for 'em. I just don't want to give up the moon-roof for roof-rack. I'd skip having a roof rack and making the care more practical if I had to sacrifice the moon-roofing. It's just so sexy as it is, I almost hate to make it more practical by adding more weight and wind resistance, so I'm still on the fence.

I do have the sunroof. It's their Vortex 2500 RS model. I don't really use the sunroof, so I opted for the lower profile version that is sleeker. The tilt function might clear but with the Kayak carriers it will not. The rear bar will also block the sunroof from sliding back, as it's before the antenna

Has anyone thought about mounting a rack on the hatch instead of the roof, say for skis? Saw it on some old, classic cars and thought it looked very cool.
