Hi guys, my name is Robby. I'm here to share my build, and knowledge earned from the build process.
You can follow my build through Instagram: Big_Turbo_Stinger
I'm also actively posting my build process on the LAP3 Performance Page on Facebook.

Before we get to the Stinger build, here's the Genesis 2019 G70 Sport 3.3T. So I'm very familiar with the platform.
It made about 500WHP on the mobile dyno at Import Alliance with LAP3 V2 Pro-Tuner, WMI, Intakes, and Full Catless Turbo-back Exhaust.

And.. I recently purchased a brand new 2021 Stinger GT2 (on the right).
The left one is a local LAP3 Big Turbo Stinger that put down over 600WHP, and that's what I'm heading for & more.

[PART 1] LAP3 XCargot Twin Turbo Upgrade Kit
Just the day after I purchased the Stinger, I went ahead and ordered a LAP3 XCargot Twin Turbo Upgrade Kit.
It took about a month, and it showed up at the door. First, what I noticed was exceptional quality of the kit.
The flange & pipe thickness, and even down to welds exceeded my expectation, and not one thing was damaged.

[PART 2] Disassembling & Dropping the Motor & Transmission
As soon as the kit arrived, I put the vehicle on the lift and started taking it apart. It sure is nice to have a garage.
I figured it would be easier to work on the car with the motor & transmission pulled, rather than working inside the engine bay.
Believe it or not, a brand new car is much easier & nicer to work on since everything is so clean.
The car has less than 500 miles, so let's see how everything looks!

And that's how it's done! The motor & transmission are out.
You have to make sure to learn where all the wires and connections are, and it will help you a lot during the process.

Here's a few pictures of the stock turbos & primary downpipes.

[PART 3] Installing the LAP3 XCargot XT26 Turbo Kit
The turbo manifolds, housings, and downpipes are ceramic coated & wrapped.
The Tial wastegates are used for the build, and new oil lines & drain lines are installed as well.
I also painted the timing cover to black while the motor was out.
Here are photos of what the final assembly looks like before putting the motor & transmission back in the car.
Pictures are worth more than words, so... Enjoy! :)

Ill stab at 5500 for all the parts if the turbos were on sale

Definitely interested in how this turns out. Where are you located?

Someone explain the xcargot to me. I can't find any info on them except here and there and only on Kia and Hyundai.

I've ran Borg Warners and Garrett's for decades so I've just always wondered why they wouldn't put name brand turbos on a kit like this.

Are they like super reliable but don't make much power? Just trying to find out why I can't find any information on any other cars running this brand.

Not knocking on them since I know nothing about them. Just honestly trying to find a backstory on this brand.

So how much did that put you in the hole? Those parts look beautiful though.
Knowing the amount of R&D they have put into the kit, it's quite reasonably priced! And yes, they are beautiful.

I live in Northern Virginia.

I've learned a lot about them. XCargot is the performance turbos made by "Keyyang Precision, OEM supplier of Hyundai, Kia, and GM." From what I've seen, they are very popular in Korea. The XT26 turbos make great power for small displacement engines, thus it's perfect for the twin turbo setup. They are known to be reliable, and I was told the XT26 turbos spool faster than the 14G turbos & capable of making the power of 16G turbos. That to me is impressive.

I love to see things like this!!
Will be looking forward to all of your updates on this thread.

When everything Is installed and you've had time to fully appreciate It, It'll be a great service If you let us know your experience when It comes to how the engine and tranny runs, If possible street and drag runs as well. I'd love to see some hurt faces out there that got beat by a Stinger. :D

I just added - [PART 2] Disassembling & Dropping the Motor & Transmission to the thread. Enjoy!
Ah looking now and the flanges look goofy. So from your second part with the pictures is this one of the newfangled setups where the exhaust manifolds are cast into the head or something? So you can just unbolt and bolt up like a new manifold with a standard t3 flange?

That combined with your statement about them being performance oem brand turbos would make a lot of sense then.

It’s $12,000 on the lap3 website..
Ecu and tcu tune extra.

Also looking forward to you build!!
The upgraded Pure Turbos brand is like $$3.5-$4k (SSR Performance price) that’s a big difference. What is the value you get with the $8k+ difference in price? Curious. Thx.

The Pure turbos are just different internals in the stock housing. You get somewhat more flow out of that.
These are significantly larger housings, so these turbos are capable of supporting significantly higher power levels.
The Pure units ""should"" bolt right in, while these require quite a few changes.
All depends on your goals and your budget.....

Ahh. Thx for this. I am interested in the gains difference. But what you said makes sense.

Look at the pics. $12K bought a hell of a lot more than just 2 turbos.

is it $8K more? I don't think so, but nobody has ever accused Lap3 of being competitively priced, LOL.

Yeah. Lol. The parts are gorgeous and appears to be welded great. I definitely will be looking forward to the dynos. Fun stuff.

I can chime in with an easy example of bigger turbo gains.

Have you (anyone) noticed about 4500 or 5000 rpm WOT the stinger stops pushing as hard? Thats the small factory turbos 'flaming out' they have pushed all the air the housing will allow.

Bigger housing means larger range of boost but if you get to big then you sacrifice the low end 'boost lag' for the advantage of more push 4k-7k which is more beneficial.

If this was not helpfull drop a rainbow!
If you like this post drop an Informative!
