Purchase from @NICK_KHAR at Khartunerz. First off Nick is awesome to work with this is my second purchase from him with many to come.

Injen Intake Short Ram Dual Intake Kit - Kia Stinger 3.3TT

First off these look awesome under your hood. The filters point right at where the air ducts filter air into the engine bay.

My mechanic had the old stuff out in 10 minutes and the new in about 20 minutes. He had ZERO issues with fit. One small hose included with it did need a small trim but that's ok would rather it be to long than to short.

He actually was so impressed and liked it so much that he got out some extra lighting so that he could take some good pictures of it. When he got in and reved it some and got out and gave me the huge smile of approval.

How does it sound? When you go to the doctor one of the things they have you do is breath while they listen. Inhale ..... Exhale and again. This is what your engine is doing. I literally have been driving around now with the radio off so I can hear the awesomeness it adds to an already awesome car. It really wakes the car up and man does it sound great!

So on to performance, the ECU will take some adjusting to get used to how well your engine can breathe so you might not notice anything at first but let me tell you it's like you woke up a sleeping beast.

From a rolling start, I wouldn't say you feel much but you definitely hear the turbos sucking in as much air as they can.

From a dead stop or almost a dead stop hold on tight boys and girls your about to have a little butt pucker happen, you definitely feel it from 0 to 60.

I even went by my dealership and gave my sales guy a test ride so he could see, he has a Stinger as well. The grin and excitement on his face were priceless I see his car getting this upgrade in the near future.

So I'm not a "Car" guy I'm learning all of this stuff as I go and if you have seen any of my posts that's obvious. There are several intakes you can pick from which include a DIY to the one that requires you to remove your bumper. Personally I think they are all going to give you similar results with maybe the one under the bumper giving you the best IAT's however my mechanic said that he likes to call them straw intakes because you'll be sucking water before you know it especially here in Florida where it's rained every day for the last week or so.

So why I went with Injen was based on where the filters are and the fact that it was red and I wanted to add a pop of color under the hood. The blue might grow on me but if not Injen makes pre-filters to cover them up. Also if your crazy about heat shields Injen makes those as well and both are available on Amazon.com

That said please excuse the dirty engine bay as I've not had a day without rain to be able to clean. Just a few pictures of the before and after. I do not have any videos of the sound yet due to rain and will be getting another dyno done in a couple of weeks when my guy is back from vacation and the power isn't flickering from thunderstorms.

Here is a video it's a little long but should let you hear as much as my phone would pick up. You can hear it better with headphones.

Nice review! Do you (or will you) record any video of how it sounds, both in-car and outside the car?

Awesome review. Can you post a link to the heat shields for the Injen? Thanks.

Excellent writeup! And I couldn't agree more

I do plan on it just been raining every time I'm not working. Maybe by tomorrow but will post them here when I do.

Awesome review. Can you post a link to the heat shields for the Injen? Thanks.

Heat Sheilds https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CNZ2CK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
Confirmed with Injen this is the correct model to fit

Pre-Filter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013EKGGZ0/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=A1BQE2BYBLOJ52&psc=1
Confirmed with Injen this is the correct model to fit but there is another model that fits as well just don't recall which one it was.

Such a shield design will have a negative impact on the performance.

I'm curious about this as well. It might be able to do what's intended by attempting to keep some heat off. But, by covering the filter as opposed to putting a barrier between the rest of the engine bay to the filter, doesn't covering it stifle the air it's trying to pull in?

Yes it does stifle the air....and you have hot chrome or whatever that the shield is made of right up against the filter....don't waste money on these shields....now laying down heat barrier on the fenders inside the engine compartment is a different story...:) Wash

Could someone with injen intakes and JB4 log some IATs please

The other day I idled about 30 minutes in 105 degree weather while finishing up a call. I checked the app out of curiosity and was surprised to see IATs were only 129. I was expecting much higher.

If you're worried about heat soak, it's honestly not bad at all with the injens. I live in NE tx where we suffer some hotass days but I've never experienced a loss of power (even when the intakes were my only mod).

If that's so I think you should post the logs. I think that is very good information for deciding on a intake.

Still happy with the intakes? Any issues?

Yes and Zero issues.
Nice write up on the Injen’s. First thing I did, have to let baby breathe. With it being such an easy install I was surprised to read you used a mechanic. I ended up doing mine in the parking lot at my yacht club. I believe it took me two beers and about an hour and a quarter and was great fun.

I'm not a car guy, I didn't have the tools and it's my only car. If something went wrong I'd have to tow it somewhere to have it fixed. The guy did Dyno's before and after as well.
