Replacement trunk cover hanger

This part broke off this weekend, anyone have any idea how to dig up the P/N for a replacement?

Closed it onto a cooler.

Ended up 3D printing a replacement part. The original part is secured from the rear side with a self-tapping screw.

I used ABS so probably the same material as the oem part. It'll be a little weaker, but it only gets loaded when the trunk is open so it should last

Would you be up for printing one for me or sending me the design file? One side of mine broke this weekend as well and I couldn't find the part number either!

I did the same thing today while moving some furniture with the lid removed. Heard a snap as the trunk closed, figured something on the table had broken but didn't see anything damaged. Only noticed it when I unloaded and went to put the lid back on.

I've got an appointment in two weeks to have Kia fix my rattling sunroof, so I'll probably just ask them to take care of it then.

Ugh, same happened to me, and now their is a piece rattling around in the hatch.

Fwiw, mine snapped off because a heavy microwave shifted and pinned the bottom dangly part, so when lifting the hatch, it held it *down* and top part ripped off.

If it’s really new try the dealer. Failing that order a new while your there then glue the old one until the new one comes in. Or while you are at the dealer talk them into one off a new one on the lot and they can wait for the replacement.

You start with the forward, highest panel. Peel it off with your fingers or a plastic pry tool. Unscrew the side panel that has the hanger hook, then it comes off easily.
