• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Replace rear KIA badge or leave it?

Just an update, I did manage to swap the Stinger chrome badge with the newer badge from same eBay seller.
I had the previous badges removed, and ceramic coated.
Now just to stick it on without messing it up.

I am skeptical if that is the new GT badge.
Well this car was in a dealership with all its plastic transport sheets still on it, awaiting pre delivery then customer pick up at the end of the week.

After some research, I did find this article of the 2023 KIA Soul which displays the new GT line badge.

Like the 2022 Stinger badge and no KIA badge on the rear...it makes those looking at my GT2 as I fly by them oh so curious as to wtf car was that.....and I get a lot of that where I am...nobody where I reside knows what a Stinger is..especially with the limited Scorpion Edition pkge.

I prefer the current logo but at least the new one matches the brushed aluminium of the other badges.
I love the new Kia logo ityself, just not the "GT" badge itself.
it probably needed an update for sure but could have been more in line with the new Kia font

Debadging altogether is an attractive idea, made practical by the '22 new KIA badge not having any holes in the hood.

Otherwise, I choose the OEM look of the particular model year. I had "K" skins on my KIA ovals for a couple of years, then took them off and run straight OEM KIA since then.
I debadged my car completely, including vinyl wrapping the wheel caps. Love the anonymous look of it and I occasionally see strangers walking to the front and back wondering what make and model t is.

I did order the gloss black Stinger script from AliExpress but never put them on. A few sellers will ship two, often for no more than $15. I got two for $7.50 during the last 11/11 sale!
When you debadged the rear Kia new emblem, dod it have any holes?

So you removed the new style Kia logo emblem off the back/trunk? Did it have any holes when removed?

The US 2022 Stinger does not come with a KIA badge anywhere on the rear of the vehicle - so no removal needed.

I have a 2018 stinger GT and have 2022 cursive stinger and the KIA emblem for the front but unfortunately I cant find anyone In Adelaide that will de-badge it without going through a body shop/full paint job due to the awful holes remaining

Anyone know a way around it without repainting?
