• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hey guys,
I'm planning on replacing the new KIA badge on the rear of my my new 2022 Stinger.
Just to get a consensus, would you replace the new KIA badge on the rear of your 2022 vehicle (when it arrives) or leave it as is?
Not sure why the U.S. and Sth Korean models have the large Stinger badge and models from Canada, UK and Australia have the new KIA badge.
Cheers.

Definitely looks better with the large Stinger script on the rear, as yours is a 2022 model make sure you source the new style (flat aluminium) 2022 OEM larger Stinger badge to match the front Kia badge style.

There’s a 2022 version?
I ordered this one from eBay.
It’s legit Hyundai/Kia but says it’s mirror chrome.

Yes there’s a 2022 version, I posted the link & a picture above.
The one you’ve ordered looks to be the version for older logo models.

Okay I see.
I'm getting it ceramic coated tomorrow.
Should I get them to remove the badges before the coat?
So when the new script badge arrives, I can stick it on after the coat?

Yes, I’d get the badges removed before ceramic coating then fit new ones afterward.

The problem I have with this is that it won't match the GT badge, which is chrome...

If KIA brought out a flat aluminium GT badge as well, this situation would not be such a conundrum.

Yes, I did notice that too. The chrome stinger is close to gt badge but has a mirrored effect.

Either way the flat aluminium script is a start, if a flat aluminium GT badge comes out sooner or later change then.

You may also note that the OEM GT badge is different to the others anyway, it has a black background whereas the others are just chrome, so they already differ.

That’s good, you have the option then based on price who to buy from.

I debadged my car completely, including vinyl wrapping the wheel caps. Love the anonymous look of it and I occasionally see strangers walking to the front and back wondering what make and model t is.

I did order the gloss black Stinger script from AliExpress but never put them on. A few sellers will ship two, often for no more than $15. I got two for $7.50 during the last 11/11 sale!

That is an interesting idea to de-badge but I might wait a few years first.

Debadging altogether is an attractive idea, made practical by the '22 new KIA badge not having any holes in the hood.

Otherwise, I choose the OEM look of the particular model year. I had "K" skins on my KIA ovals for a couple of years, then took them off and run straight OEM KIA since then.

If your new '22 is White or Ghost Gray or Ceramic Silver I'd get a Black Stinger badge.

Good logic there. I've contacted a Berwick KIA, awaiting price of aluminum Stinger badge.
The guy said he has ordered a couple of them before.
Looks like this is the updated GT badge for 2023, a guy just posted this on Facebook.
