Repair/re-attach fender liner

I noticed today, while checking my tire pressure, that my front fender liner (is that what this is called?) had become disattached from the fender and was loose. I pushed it back into the front fender and basically ignored it. Later in the day, on the highway I heard a strange flapping sound. When I got home I checked and noticed that the entire liner was torn up and shredded, as if the liner had hit the tire.

Any ideas on how to get this fixed? I'm not even sure where to start ...

It can be replaced. Check ebay, I thought I saw one there for sale. It should be an easy fix, but you will need to remove the wheel for better access. Just pry out the push pins and unscrew and screws you see on the liner, it should just come off, and re-install the new one in. From the pic, looks like you are missing one of the push pins at the bottom, which is why while driving, the liner can come off and hit your tire. I suggest, getting a replacement push pin for that one hole.

have you changed your tires or wheels vs OEM , lowered it ?? or done any suspension work ??

It the lower retaining fastener came out on its own, that should be a warranty replacement.

I changed to BBS wheels and Michelin pilot sport 4s tires but kept it at the OEM size. I can't lower the car. I have a steep driveway that is already difficult. Lower would be impossible.

I knew the clip was broken but never imagined the liner could get pushed into the tire.

If you didn't do anything and it broke it should be covered under warranty. You don't have to admit that you knew it was broken. But if you do, you still didn't know that the liner would rub on the tire. So you didn't cause this in any way. Warranty.

Sorry for the grave dig, I am new here. I have a 2019 Stinger GT, and I ran over some road debris and there is a hole in my fender liner. I took my Stinger in because I wanted to be sure that my alignment and balance was still good. I am likely going to replace the fender liner myself, however, I just want to make sure this “lip” portion (circled in red) is actually apart of the fender liner or if I need an additional part. Thank you for whoever comes across this post and it feels good owning a car that far too many people slept on.

That curb "feeler" is attached to the forward edge of the wheel well/fender liner.
