Looking to buy in the Orange County (Calif) area & curious what to expect.
Any certain colors getting premium dollars added to the cost?
Does Kia offer a maintence package?

Howdy and welcome. 100K miles warranty isn't good enough?? I think (don't know) that dickering over the price of a GT Line would be easier than any of the GT trims.

From MSRP to Invoice theres about $2,000 of negotiation room right there. More if you get lucky. After that it depends on the incentives available. Keep in mind, depending how you purchase/lease, you may be able to land yourself a GT with the 3.3tt for a little more money. My GT ended up being $500 more than a loaded GT-line....thats a no brainer right there.
Let me know if you need help in negotiations and figuring out your deal...i do this professionally.

Right now, if you're looking at a GT, you can probably get it down to about $35,000 on a lease with the option to buy out which, is about what the GT line stickers at. Now granted you can get a GT line closer to $30,000 but for a $100 a month more, i'd recommend the 3.3tt unless you're dead set on getting 2mpg better out of the 2.0t.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Costco members save 3k i did but my 2018 gt1 with sunroof red inside and sound package was 55k so i assume the 18's will be ~40 19's near 45 and 20's at about 45 or 50 aswell (taking tax into account 8.4% where i purchased)

The dealership can offer any free/included maintenance plan that they want. Normally your first oil change is free at the dealership you purchased the vehicle from. Also, for example, after you are comfortable with the OTD price you can then request that they throw in a second free oil change or free car washes for life or whatever the heck else. It's all up for negotiation.

Certain colors will get a premium added such as my car's white color, but, that doesn't matter. What matters is what you're paying OTD. I have seen people get "amazing" deals on their car but then OTD get completely pranked by all the hidden fee's and other nonsense that are thrown in.

You should probably cross-shop and do some configurating and research online for similar Stingers in your area to see what is going on realistically.

I was able to get a better deal from my own negotiations than the Costco membership deals. Granted, I purchased the car less than a year ago during COVID so that helped a fair bit.

Nooope i bought on jan 12th or so 2018 so the mark up was real

Why didn't you wait?!?!?!?

That's like my buddy who paid a huge mark up over MSRP on his Civic Type-R when they first came out...

I was not even looking to buy a car. I love my stinger. And also having the new new is something i never had before. :)

There's a warranty on the Stingers? I have two open cases, for months now, trying to get warranty repairs done. The dealers say that corpoate has to approve warranty repairs, and corporate does nothing.

Blast Kia on their facebook. Literally hit them on EVERY post. I did that for a couple days and got a response very quickly.

Did you just get a response, or did they actually perform the warranty repairs?
I've been getting reply... but then it seem to bounce between corporate & dealer, and then just gets forgotten until I call again... and again... and again. I may give up since the lease runs out in a few months.

Short version - I brought the Stinger to the dealer in June. Dealer says warranty repairs have to be approved by corporate, and I have to open a case. I opened a case. In September they "escalate" the case. Now I get an email every 4-6 weeks asking me very odd questions, for example, "Did you take the car to the dealer?". Then weeks later, "Is your car at the dealer now?". Then weeks later, "Have you always taken it to the same dealership?"

@Nedstand:

Here's a short story that can help you out. After owning my vehicle for five months and having about 3000 miles on the odometer I experienced the "dreaded" warped rotor braking problems everyone talks about on the Kia Stinger forums. I immediately, before calling the dealership or making an appointment, called Kia corporate to create a case number and request that they connect me with a local dealership for the repair work. Then after the case number was provided I contacted my local Kia dealership, provided the case number, and came in for my scheduled warranty work. Unfortunately, and to my luck of course, it took them five repair attempts over the course of roughly six months and about another 3000 miles to finally resolve the issue. This entire time I was on the phone left and right with Kia corporate and the local Kia dealership for multiple months and countless phone calls and emails.

But here is the thing. I kept a list of time-stamps and dates on everything. The dates, mileage, times I spoke on the phone, who I spoke to, documentation of visits and repairs, etc... every single detail of every single experience that had to do with my vehicle, Kia corporate, and the Kia dealership. Now we're discussing a settlement for my time and effort wasted dealing with this monkey business.

The point I am making, and don't take this the wrong way, but it sounds like your approach was incorrect to this and you never pushed to even have a case/ticket assigned to your problem. That is why nobody is taking you seriously or trying to fix this problem. That's the problem with bottom tier car manufacturers; they know that the majority of people who purchase their products don't have a clue how these things work.

You sound too nice Ned... like the Ned on the Simpsons show. Create a documentation of everything, request a case number, and then give them a specific period of time to finally get their heads out of their rear and take care of this. If not, then reach out to a lawyer and prepare to have this taken to either civil court or have a settlement given.

Kia knows exactly what they are doing. Trust me, they're not dumb. Also, if you are going to spread the word and put them on blast, be prepared to follow up with that if and when people ask questions. Good luck!

(P.S.)

I like my Stinger and I still plan to keep this car for at least a decade while under warranty. With that said though, after my experience with both corporate and the local dealerships both in FL and NY, I am hesitant to purchase another Kia/Hyundai/Genesis product again in the future. Will probably continue to stick with Toyota and Mercedes from hear on out lmfao.

Thanks...

I have 2 case numbers, and a long string of emails, but I did not keep a log of each of the many phone calls I made or received. I did have one case manager who called me every 3 or 4 days, but the question was always the same, "Did you hear from the dealer?". No, I never did hear fro the dealer. That case manager "escalated" the case, and since then, I only get emails.

I have emailed the dealers service order and photos to the dealer at least twice, and probably a half dozen times to corporate. I'm glad you finally got the problem fixed, but really, a customer should not have to put in the time & effort you did to get a warranty repair.

I do like the car, and if I can get them to do the repairs, I may buy it at lease end. With Pandemic, the car is almost brand new. But if they won't back the warranty, I'm inclined to give them the keys at lease end.

Just to be perfectly clear, in both instances, the dealer told me to call corporate and open a case. I did so and have both case numbers.

Update - I did get a fast reply via Facebook, and here's where it stands now. " We have updated with your information on your existing case and we will request your Case Analyst to contact you on their earliest opportunity."

Good luck then!

This will sort itself out!

Please keep us posted friendo!

Does Kia offer a maintence package?

I'm not sure how the market is going lately, but I got my 2021 GT-Line w/ Sun & Sound for $34K in October. No premiums for colors, and as other posters said, maintenance packages are at the dealer's discretion -- Kia is not like BMW who typically includes "free" (aka prepaid) maintenance.

Good luck.

The only "premium color" I've heard of is the limited edition Orange, but that was a while ago.
