I got my replacement rear end emblem and it is not big enough. I got the written "stinger" and the round "E" and neither of them line up our cover the existing holes. Did I order the wrong size othe were they not manufactured correctly.
I ordered them off of the here from the vendor who advertises at the top of the forums.
I was so disappointed

I would check out Stinger GT and me's YouTube channel. it's helpful and he's on these forums.

i work for a dealer and I had my techs use his video as a guide. important thing is to make sure you cover or fill the holes because you don't want water getting inside there. OR take to body shop like westcoastGT said..

Agree BUT they are designed to cover the holes if properly installed ........................go to an autobody shop and make sure they see the install vid .......................

yeah but even SGT and Me's video says that it will not be perfectly centered, but approx. 3/16th's of an inch off of center in order to cover the holes with the badge....

I know they did. because I had a Korea spec on my showroom with a perfectly aligned stinger badge and we were unable to duplicate it. there's a picture in my albums or garage of it. the Korea spec trunk has no holes or differently spaced holes.

I did not tear off the badge because of this scary sign KMA posted on the window.

I think we're going to have to agree to disagree here but I def think that it's two different trunks. different markets get different parts all the time. it's not uncommon.

Oh I see, did you buy that small one and trying to put it in the center?

Ok let me add my bit.
There has been a host of videos and discussion on this topic. Yes there are holes after you remove the badges. All you have to do is carefully put silicone in the ones not used and the badges will cover them and be centered. The front round new badge will need a post removed so it can put placed into remaining holes.
Don’t take it to a dealer unless you’re worried about the paint coming off which can happen on the front badge. Some people recommend taking it to a spray painter who knows what they are doing.
As a newish member it would pay to have a good look at all forums before you post so you can see where each particular discussion comes from and you can find a whole host of info for your questions. Just search forums for a key word.

Welcome to the forums Diana, there are a lot of keen members here who I know will help you with navigating to the right area.:)
Once you find your way it’s easy!

Thank you for your order, Diana. I'm not sure you ordered from me the first time because this is the first order I've received from your email address or from somebody named Diana. Unless you ordered the first time with a different name and email address. This is also the first order I'm shipping to Missouri...

In any event, your badge will be at the USPS today, left in their secure overnight receptacle for shipping first thing in the morning.

As mentioned, there is only one rear STINGER text badge available in my store, so you ordered the right one - the same one you see on any other Stinger. There IS a smaller one, but it's TINY - and I don't sell it.

Thanks again. I appreciate your patronage...

I did take it to my KIA dealer.
I'm not stupid. I would not do that work myself

I think you may already have the correct emblem if you bought it from here.

The problem is more likely with the dealership service department.

How many inches tall/long is the first emblem you purchased? The correct emblem is roughly 19"x 2".

Figure out of it's the same size as the one you just ordered. If it's the same size cancel that order and take your car to another dealer/body shop .

I agree - as long as the badge has not already been installed and the tape is still intact and strong... I'll hold the package until later on this evening in the event she can still use whatever she has...

If the badge truly needs to be installed 3/16ths of an inch to either side in order to cover the holes, I don't think anyone has - or will have an issue with that. Nobody seems to notice. All that being said, we're not sure if the Korean specification Stinger has the holes or not. But it would be good to know. Too bad nobody still has one of those destined-to-be-crushed showcase models...

Also, if I were installing the badge, my main objective would be too cover the holes. If the badge were a fraction of an inch off, I'd never notice anyway.
