Thats the same noise/rattle that ive had on the car since sept. 2019. had the car at the dealer 3 times and only once they replaced the steering clock spring and the noise went away for a week and then came back. now im trying to have them look at it again but they "cant confirm the problem"It would be great to get confirmation from other's who've experienced this. Seen a few threads about "creaking" "ticking" etc. Everyone uses different terminology to describe the sound so it's tough to pin down.
It doesn't solve anything, but it's nice having company haha. I don't have a solution. I went to an independent shop after the dealer "didn't hear anything". The shop confirmed they heard it and gave me some documentation on the steering assembly and clock spring and suggested I head back to the dealer and try again. I have an appointment next week for a service and I mentioned to them I want them to look at this and my clunking hatch.Thats the same noise/rattle that ive had on the car since sept. 2019. had the car at the dealer 3 times and only once they replaced the steering clock spring and the noise went away for a week and then came back. now im trying to have them look at it again but they "cant confirm the problem"
have you found the solution to this ?

Not super encouraging though that you've had yours looked at 3 times and it keeps coming back. I'd consider a new steering wheel worst case honestly. It's that annoying and my alcantara is shot anyway since the first owner obviously never maintained it.
It actually does make me feel better lol. I am keeping My Stinger, just need to fix the clicking noise from inside the steering wheel. I took of the Grip Handles. That was annoying as well. My Hatch is also quiet now as well. I Will look for a video on how to take apart the horn/airbag part and tape it up@cwatt79
Sorry to hear you’re dealing with the same sh*t I was and still do once in awhile. Mostly all of those fixes were from other forum members and using ideas from what they had done to fix mine which I am grateful for.
Let my stinger sit for a couple weeks recently and drove it and immediately heard the steering wheel clicking noise again which I hadn’t heard in months but it went away shortly after. (I still have felt tape inside between the airbag and metal backing of the wheel)
My doors frames (well greased), sunroof (occasionally “pops” on hot sunny days) and trunk (like a vault) no longer bother me since my last post. It is frustrating though, you just have to take it one step at a time.
If it makes you feel any better, another member traded his Stinger in because of some issues which included rattles and bought a new beemer and now that car has rattles too lol.
Would a electrical safe Silicone Lubricant help you think? Spray the heck out of it?Just found your post, I have had this noise in the steering wheel/airbag assembly when turning and just driving in general for months (very annoying). I have taken the airbag cover off multiple times and applied tape to where the (blue arrow) is on the metal part of the steering wheel (originally only had tape on the bottom left one, applying to all 4 seemed to fix the noise - see below post) thinking it was the springs of the airbag/horn making the noise, which worked for a couple months but then recently the noise came back.
Also tried taping the thin metal piece along the back (green arrow) but that wasn’t it. Going to try your method of taping around the lower trim piece (red arrow)
Nooooooooooodealer replaced the clockspring inside steering wheel, sound is still there.![]()
