Anyone experienced a rattle from the center of the car right above the climate controls? If so, what is the best way to fix this? Sounds like the two plastic pieces keep hitting each other.
I filmed this on an asphalt road without that many bumps..
I think plastic rubbing against plastic would sound more squeaky. A "rattle" indicates something loose back in there. Yes, a few last year complained about a "ticking" coming from behind the dash. I don't recall what the outcome of those were.
I seem to have the same noise coming from the area where the climate controls housing meets the panel above it. I wedged a folded up piece of felt tape in between the panels and it seemed to silence things. Hopefully it doesn't return. It might be worth trying that before disassembling anything.

I had surgery on one of my hands so I havent had the time to dismantle the console yet. How did you get the felt tape in the gap? I bought the felt tape months ago but it's just sitting around. Thanks in advance.
I get this noise sometimes when I really have the heat cranking in the car, I just push up below the buttons and the noise stops for awhile. When I get the time I might take it apart and add some felt tape. Compared to the other noises I fixed this one is the least bothersome for me.
This video shows how to take it apart

I just just shoved it into there with my hands. No tools. I didn't push it in too far, so that I can remove it easily. There was some trial and error to stack up enough tape to get a sufficient thickness. Hopefully we're talking about the same gap, but this was super simple.
I was able to use just one layer of felt tape, squeeze it in the gap between the plastic moldings and stick it to the top plastic.
I cut off the ends of the tape and just tucked it into the gap where its barely visible. All the rattling is gone, guess the next rattling to fix will be the sunroof when that starts.
I am hearing that same noise in 2024 on my 2019 Stinger GT2. It only does it while i'm on the freeway. It's coming from the passenger side area. It just happened the last two days, so i'm not sure where it's coming from
