3.3TT Quicksilver Exhaust Systems

Anybody got this email already?

Listening to our customers, we decided to re-visit our Stinger exhaust to offer a new 'SuperSport' system that would generate a deeper note, have greater variation in note and a provide more volume under hard acceleration.

At the same time, back in early April and with uncertain times ahead, we put out an, 'on the bone' deal for Stinger owners to pre-order this new system.

This has been one of the hardest developments we have ever undertaken and has gone through 8 iterations. We are very pleased with the result and are now ready to get these into production.
Our 'SuperSport' exhaust now includes four polished stainless tips, which are a significant improvement on the factory 'blow through' items - They look better and were essential to remove the most persistent & unwanted tones.

Overall, this has become a more expensive exhaust than we had anticipated but we will stick to the price quoted.

However, over the last few months, the courier companies (FedEx and UPS) have increased their delivery charges to the USA & Canada enormously due to the craziness all around. Last year we could send a parcel to North America for GBP 100.00 - now that is GBP 350.00. This increased cost is caused by added 'Covid' surcharges and reduced package-size thresholds. We have done our best get this cost down and sought alternatives, without success.

This is a huge and unwelcome increase that we regret having to report and regret even more having to ask owners to cover.

In summary, the system cost is unchanged at GBP 690.00 but the delivery cost is now GBP 350.00 making GBP 1040.00 total.

We understand that many owners will be unhappy to pay this extra cost and we will, of course, refund the deposit of anyone who wishes.

Again, we apologise for this bad news but hope that you will stick with us. Can I please ask you to confirm?

Kind regards

Paul Goddard

Yeah, the FB page has quicker news. I'm still in. This will be a custom, hand built, exhaust, who’s predecessors adorned some legendary cars. I’m in like Flynn on this. I’ve also had the secondaries since the first sale, just waiting for the rest.

Was told this from quicksilver today.
System 690.00 + Cat-Pipes 586.00 + shipping 350.00 = GBP 1626.00 Total

You have paid GBP 200 deposit. There will probably be some local taxes to pay on receipt, this is beyond our knowledge.

Yes, the cat-pipes do add a third box but we will send them for the quoted shipping cost and swallow the extra.

I will add onto that response for everyone. I asked about how the secondaries affect the sound and this is what I recieved.

"The Secondary cat-pipes add a bit more volume and variation. This new SuperSport system has more volume than our old Sports system - I think it alone will be loud enough for most?"

It's unfortunate, but it is what it is. I'm able to afford the extra bucks for shipping. One of the risks we took when we pre-ordered a system from Europe.

Unfortunately I had to back out. Really wish I could have stayed on. The sound is exactly what I've been looking for but I just can't cover the new cost of shipping. Good luck with everyone that's still in it!

Nothing official, someone said they were told it would ship by the end of the month but I think weve been told that for the last few months. I'm betting after the new year at this point.

I emailed them and was told they are on schedule to be shipped by the end of the month. I'm not sure how since they are arresting people there.

They are batch made somewhere else that isn't locked down.

My JT package arrived a few days ago. It's all coming together! Already making plans for a local shop to do the install and a before+after dyno run
Did you get the secondaries, too? How long did it take the CAI to get here from there?

I did order secondaries, back at the start of the group buy, they've been sitting in the box since then but I'm excited to finally put them on. Guess I'm gonna need a helper since the shop I'm talking to won't do any work forward of the cats (thanks, CA).

The intake only took 3 or 4 days to ship, but when I ordered it I was living at a different address and forgot to update JT, thankfully they require a signature so it didn't just get left on my old doorstep, haha. Took some effort to make it over to the UPS center and pick it up but I eventually got it.

Glad that it's finally coming together. I got some tips: make sure the turbo to intake couplers for the JTs are the right size. I had the wrong one put in my box but it was a new hire mistake and they informed the worker. Don't think that happened to yours but still worth checking out. Also, your going to need some nuts and bolts for the QS mids. Had to make a couple of trips to the parts store when i was installing mine. As for the install, I know a buddy with a lift here in sac. Don't know why you would pay an exhaust shop to do it when I did my QS and Borla install by myself.

I have some limiting factors.
- I'm pretty limited on space, tools, and time
- For the life of me I can't find anyone to give me a hand
- I've never changed an exhaust before and I'm worried I'll mess the car up in some way

I'm definitely going to have to do the mids myself so maybe I'll just do the whole shebang, idunno. Unlike you I don't know a buddy with a lift, haha

Has anyone gotten a tracking number or received their exhaust from this batch yet? QS initially told me to expect shipment on the first but here we are almost halfway through the month and no tracking number. I wrote them an email a few days ago but didn't hear back yet.

I also emailed them a few days ago about shipping info and crickets.

I also emailed paul goddard for the order confirmation or tracking number.. and I got no response..
