Is this a European feature? I've never heard of those lights before.

Yes they are a requirement in Europe. They are high intensity red rear lights and must be used in poor driving conditions such as fog or heavy rain.

Just went to have a look on mine. I’ve never noticed them there before!

So there should be an on/off switch?

Did you check your manual? I just checked mine (Canadian Spec '18 GT Limited) and no mention of fog lights/lamps.

On your lighting stalk/control, on what setting do you have it? Trying putting it on 'Off' and check. I just leave mine on 'Auto'.

You may want to read your manual, I never use the LKA, other electronic nannies, but did (re)learn quite a about how the sensors work (or rather don't) during adverse weather conditions etc. Let us know what you discover please! Thanks :)

So there should be an on/off switch?

On the lights stalk (on the left of my steering wheel RHD) there is a spring-loaded toggle switch that you push down to turn on and push down again to turn off. You just have your headlights on for them to come on.

Extract from the manual below.

It's really difficult to find owners manuals for the EU models. But here you go. The rear fogs are controlled by the extra switch on the stalk.

What else do the European spec Stingers have that the US do not?

(I just checked my owner's manual to see if I had overlooked fog lights "if equipped"; but no, the US manual does mention them at all.)

They are not on the North American models (as there's no reason for them to be since they're not mandated by law here). Some Euro models have particulate filters even on the gasoline models. And of course offering a diesel. Outside of that and the rear fogs I can't think of anything else. I think some EU models also have available bi-modal exhaust.

I noticed the online manual I downloaded doesn't mention the fog lights, just the printed manual I had with the car.

I don't think there is anything else. It's just to meet requirements of European Laws.

We drove to Kia dealer and they had fix it. We ordered that We need a towbar and they helped is to install it but the technical didnt Know that he need to cut powersupply ( cut a Cable) orherwise the power goes to the fog light... so when We went there today onother guy which is more senior solved it....

Same problem here. Also a euro awd stinger and just went to yearly inspection and all of a sudden fog lights are (I think inspection guy accidentally turned them on - they are not something they check at inspection normally, since here in Sweden you're actually not required to have fog lights on ur car) on and wouldn't turn off.
Took it to Kia shop right next door and guy there scratched his head and said "never seen this problem". He then just unhooked the battery for a few seconds and problem solved. But still very weird. So I'm thinking twice before ever turning those on again. And in all fairness I've never once had to use the fog lights on any car I've had.
