A “silver lining” for the ceramic silver GT2 I intend/hope to get.I think it’ll go down. No one is buying it anyway.
I suppose though the residual could drop, thereby raising lease prices (or, at least, cancelling out any decrease in the negotiated price).Kia won't change the MSRP but the prices people are actually paying will likely drop, as others have said.
I think the selling price is all in the dealers hands. Some try and bleed you as they think the stinger is a super car and some may knock off a little, it depends if they get any Stingers on the lot if they don't they will leave the prices high to get what they can get.Kia won't change the MSRP but the prices people are actually paying will likely drop, as others have said.

The inventory of Stingers has always been too low, which undoubtedly is one reason for their low sales figures. And, the shortage and chip shortage has lowered that inventory even further. The Chevrolet lot may be better stocked but there’s a reason for that, and, quite frankly, I know better than to be seriously considering one of those.I was at my local dealer today for the first time in 3 or 4 months. The lot was EMPTY! There were 6 new cars with 'SOLD' signs on them, 5 new cars actually available for sale, and maybe a half dozen used, That was it. If that is typical for all/most dealers, I wouldn't expect the price to be going down at all. I'm glad I don't need to buy anything right now, because the dealer can set the price wherever he wants--as long as you insist on a KIA, Just a block away, the Chevrolet dealer seemed to have a full lot, so that might keep KIA from being too inflexible.

Wow. I don't think I've seen 30 stingers total since the car has come out. The most I've seen in person on a lot was last July when I bought mine. They had 5 new Stingers, any color you wanted as long as it was white, black or Panthera metalThat must be a regional thing. Prior to this insanity the Kia dealerships near me always had way too much in inventory. So much so that they'd park dozens of cars on an overflow lot down the street (Kia Raleigh) or out back behind the used car dealership (Kia Cary). I think it was early last year when I counted over 30 Stingers behind the used car area of Kia Cary.
I have 8 Kia dealerships within 50 miles of me. One of them has 13 Stingers (Kia Cary again). One of them has 9 vehicles TOTAL (mostly Fortes). Another has a total of 13 vehicles. Of those 8 dealerships only one has any Stingers.
I think Kia is prioritizing there more successful dealerships over others.
But things are just really crazy right now.

Looks like the ones in the overflow lot are probably the 21 models, judging from the wheels. I'd guess the 22 models were up front.
I could, I've already been offered more than what I paid for mine a couple of timesConsidering the shortages of any vehicle across the industry right now, I suspect them to try to eek out as much from this car as they can using the "last one we will be getting" as the excuse. They got a lot of practice with the Telluride.
Hell, look at what's happened to used prices! Many of us could sell for a profit?!
