I wish that was the case in bc. I would love to set it to map 2 and just forget about it.Not had the same issues. 91 shell in Ontario seems to support map2 pretty well and consistently. I’m very pleased with the firepower the jb4 on 91 has allowed me.
Yes we are all in the same boat with crappy fuel , for me I will sticking with the Shell V Power and just add Boostane if I want to time it or Track it . One of the local tuners here in Kelowna BC , was the one who helped me solve the timing issues as the same as one here in Canada has said gasI wish that was the case in bc. I would love to set it to map 2 and just forget about it.
Hey Arnie what octane boost are you using. CheersRight now I am just running 93-95 Octane, the car will be checked out on Tuesday to make sure hoses and CC are are doing their jobs lol and I will never run the car with High boost with out matching Octane Values, I am just testing and showing my true findings, as many who know me by now I have had a hard time getting power to the wheel to get what many others seemed to be getting easier , not here to put anyone tunes downsjust being careful about what I tried as I don’t want to damage the car
I see that there are many experts on here share their advice, and for me I am just looking at all the advice given here on this subject and I am great full , for all the suggestions and advice
The RaceChip and with ECU Tune has not acted any different than with the stock ECU only difference I have noticed was the limp mode no longer happens since the
️ gas changes, this allowing the RC map to work normal as designed . Results = a little better 0-60 time , Fuel mileage same ! Difference from my fastest time of 4.53 before to 4.38 =.15 with now the PT ECU tune +RaceChip
this is my findings mostly likely with PT 93 tune this time will on all accounts be faster than what I have today
,, Just did my last launch for while ,,my best to date 1/8 mile time, dropped to,,,, 8.17 Secs .. quick note all my testing is done using Dragy device !! Happy Easter Everyone ,,stay safe !!
I am Using mostly Boostane as it seems to give better results but Lucas does well too ! If I am not playing I just run the LucasHey Arnie what octane boost are you using. Cheers
What part of bc you in?I wish that was the case in bc. I would love to set it to map 2 and just forget about it.
Where are you buying them?I am Using mostly Boostane as it seems to give better results but Lucas does well too ! If I am not playing I just run the LucasThe Boostane has a App to measure the amount you need as well

HI Billy , I am living in Kelowna BC just got back from Classified Motorsports and bought another 32 oz can of Boostane, Had my plugs checked out . Now when I need a higher octane value I will just measure it out using my phone App for the proper amount to get the correct Octane level that I will use For that tank ofWhere are you buying them?

I wish for better gas here Kelowna BC , this is why I always use a bit octane boost just to make sure it covered Up 91- 93 octane, The Pressertech tune would pull timing when in tried my first time launching on it , then As some time passed by ,Map 6 on jb4 is a map that can be changed by user by rpm. So i just put in all 2.0 for every rpm and it gives me 2psi over stock. Map 1 is 3-4 psi over stock and tapers to 2.5 psi at higher rpms. The thing about bc and Canadian fuel it’s all over the place. Sometimes map 1 would be fine with little to no timing pull then I could fill up and timing
will drop hard core and even get very mild pinging.
I don’t bother risking it anymore. I have found a station near me that seams to keep there fuel quality the same. I swear some stations run out of there higher octane and give 87z
I’m in Pitt meadows, 30-40 mins out of Vancouver. What part of BC are you living?
