PRESSERtech Kia Stinger GT Dyno RESULTS!!

Not had the same issues. 91 shell in Ontario seems to support map2 pretty well and consistently. I’m very pleased with the firepower the jb4 on 91 has allowed me.

I wish that was the case in bc. I would love to set it to map 2 and just forget about it.

Yes we are all in the same boat with crappy fuel , for me I will sticking with the Shell V Power and just add Boostane if I want to time it or Track it . One of the local tuners here in Kelowna BC , was the one who helped me solve the timing issues as the same as one here in Canada has said gas ⛽️ Stability is the problem. So I asked my wife to go with me for a little drive after filling up with gas and a little Boost and decided to try a Launch and did a Dragy 1/4 and it pulled so smooth, so this last shot of Shell V power gas was really decent, I will take the Stinger in for a inspection and check my plugs to see if they are ok , and I will remove my Piggy back chip for now as well :) Last night was oh so smooth when heavy on the gas , got to love it when it works right lol At the End of the day everyone on here From Canada Can respectfully say to our USA friends and put it simple , OUR Gas up here SUCKS

Right now I am just running 93-95 Octane, the car will be checked out on Tuesday to make sure hoses and CC are are doing their jobs lol and I will never run the car with High boost with out matching Octane Values, I am just testing and showing my true findings, as many who know me by now I have had a hard time getting power to the wheel to get what many others seemed to be getting easier , not here to put anyone tunes downs :) just being careful about what I tried as I don’t want to damage the car :) I see that there are many experts on here share their advice, and for me I am just looking at all the advice given here on this subject and I am great full , for all the suggestions and advice:) The RaceChip and with ECU Tune has not acted any different than with the stock ECU only difference I have noticed was the limp mode no longer happens since the ⛽️ gas changes, this allowing the RC map to work normal as designed . Results = a little better 0-60 time , Fuel mileage same ! Difference from my fastest time of 4.53 before to 4.38 =.15 with now the PT ECU tune +RaceChip :) this is my findings mostly likely with PT 93 tune this time will on all accounts be faster than what I have today :),, Just did my last launch for while ,,my best to date 1/8 mile time, dropped to,,,, 8.17 Secs .. quick note all my testing is done using Dragy device !! Happy Easter Everyone ,,stay safe !!
Hey Arnie what octane boost are you using. Cheers

I am Using mostly Boostane as it seems to give better results but Lucas does well too ! If I am not playing I just run the Lucas:) The Boostane has a App to measure the amount you need as well :)

Where are you buying them?

HI Billy , I am living in Kelowna BC just got back from Classified Motorsports and bought another 32 oz can of Boostane, Had my plugs checked out . Now when I need a higher octane value I will just measure it out using my phone App for the proper amount to get the correct Octane level that I will use For that tank of ⛽:) Boostane can also be bought on line as well :) 32 oz will run around 45.00 Canadian or if you only need a Octane level of say 93 then just use Lucas Octane boost which should raise the Octane values up 3 point s :) hope this helps :)

Map 6 on jb4 is a map that can be changed by user by rpm. So i just put in all 2.0 for every rpm and it gives me 2psi over stock. Map 1 is 3-4 psi over stock and tapers to 2.5 psi at higher rpms. The thing about bc and Canadian fuel it’s all over the place. Sometimes map 1 would be fine with little to no timing pull then I could fill up and timing
will drop hard core and even get very mild pinging.
I don’t bother risking it anymore. I have found a station near me that seams to keep there fuel quality the same. I swear some stations run out of there higher octane and give 87z
I wish for better gas here Kelowna BC , this is why I always use a bit octane boost just to make sure it covered Up 91- 93 octane, The Pressertech tune would pull timing when in tried my first time launching on it , then As some time passed by ,
I talked with the Owner of Classified Motorsports who also tunes also the Euro cars and well Japanese built cars , but Not Korean up to this point . Here like many other said the gas quality suck and running Chevron we’re pulling timing , so The tuner here was the one who always suggested to change over to
Shell 91 VPOWER , which I did , and with my first launch I finally had success ever since ! However I thought I would push things a bit , putting RC chip back which always pulled under quick heavy throttle to see if that would Work , added some Boostane to make sure I was hitting approximately 97 octane and after I did 4 launches with nothing but smooth power until I backed off ,
so theses Stinger GT s need gas like they the US for high performance, my Stinger is only running on the Pressertech tune with no problems, had it fully checked and Catch cans emptied, only had some crap but not bad after 18 months of daily Drive :) Drive safe everyone and enjoy :)

I live near Atl.I am going to look into this.My only concern is warranty and reliability issues. Many car companies will void the whole warranty for some mods.I plan on doing light mods--like exhaust and intake--as long as you do not touch the cat converter KIA says those are fine. That is a decent amount of HP and if it can do that reliably and stay under the warranty--I am game.Another almost 100 hp is a substantial increase for the price.
