Toss the lame fake center lug plastic cover. Get a normal 18” cap. Put whatever logo you want.

If you're handy think about wrapping your wheels with gloss or satin vinyl ................google it , very simple

The plastic center caps can still look clean if done right. The place that powdercoated my wheels also painted my center caps. I went gloss black but left the silver ring around the middle and used the GT overlays. Total cost was around $650 mounted.

They also did some other stingers and posted the pics to their insta (NVCoatings), one person went with gloss black, black cap with gt overlay and the other did flat black completely. I prefer mine (obviously) aha.102972DE-08EB-4524-A187-9F7FDAEB086F.jpeg18343C1E-F678-4522-AD88-1460937D6889.jpegD5193205-C325-4515-B4E2-7C983D9515F3.jpegB0E84E4A-7A2D-42A2-8146-DFC7C54BB332.jpeg

(Funny, twice in one week asking for powder coat gloss black. :D)
The OE caps were $25 apiece to paint them to match. Each wheel was $150.

This might be a stupid question but.......when you guys got your wheels done, did you take the rims/tires off yourself and drop off the wheels? Or did you just bring in the car and they took care of it all? How long do the wheels take to cure before you can install and drive?

I took the wheels to them. They dismounted the tires, did the PC overnight. Had it back to me in less than 24 hours. They said no additional cure time was needed. But waited another day to reinstall.

I took my summer wheels with tires already mounted in, and they swapped them for my winter wheels (OE). Three days later I returned and they put the OE/powder coated wheels back on and put my summers in the hatch. Other than toting my wheels from shed to hatch and hatch to shed, I didn't lift a finger. :D (I was on summer tires for three days in the middle of the winter, and the weather cooperated  )

I just dropped the car off, too much of a pain to get my car on all jacks stands.

That actually looks really good with the 19s and glossy black, just not sure about keeping the chrome window/mirror trim at that point. Id probably wrap the trims in black vinyl and go for the ‘murdered out’ look.

Chrome trim looks really good with the stock rims though so im pretty torn haha

I just got a roll of satin black 3m vinyl , when the weather gets better I'm going to wrap all the machined surfaces , looks easy to do , easy to repair , and removeable if needed .............just waiting for some warmer weather . I dipped my wheels 2 years ago and they looked great for a few months then the bead started breaking down where the tire compressed against it hitting bumps , potholes etc , running stock now except for the center caps which I kept black , I love these OEM wheels when they're black

I’m still debating on whether, or not, I’m going to black powercoat my wheels. There’s a place not far from here that offered to do it for me for $525, which covers wheel repair as well. A good deal. But, now that I have partial wrapped the hood and roof in black, the black dipped center pieces make a nice contrast with the stock wheel. Its a tough call, but unless I’m all in - it’s probably not worth it. I can’t say I like the idea of “no wheel” illusion at night either.
