I ran into this issue a couple of times before. I have 12700 miles on my car (bought it last year May). Like SRV experienced, the loss of boost only happened to my car when the oil wasn't up to the optimal temperature. I always drive in my custom mode (Sport powertrain and steering with comfort suspension) with the oil temp, boost, and torque gauges on. Once the temp is around 170~180F I haven't had any issues with building boost. I like to think the car has a failsafe where if the oil is too cold and the boost demand is too high, the turbos will be disengaged. Resulting in a weird limp mode with no CEL. Turning the car off then on reverts things back to normal.

I hope my personal experience helps.

Hello rbf351,

Hopefully, this helps you with a possible explanation of the boost issue on the 2022 GT model years.

Mine only happens in cold weather, doesn't matter if the car is warmed up or driven for 2 hours. When the outside temp is below 30 and I floor it to redline around 50mph is goes into that limp mode.

Now that the temps here are above freezing i haven't had an issues.

Was at kia the other day for an oil change, and they said they know about it, but there is no fix yet

Oh man, that sucks. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to test driving in below-freezing temps. It doesn't get that cold in the Midlands of South Carolina.
