Please complete poll, I want to see who has done this and if you have any comments please do so. Just curious as to how many of us are getting rid of the crappy stock pads. Also would be nice to get follow up comments as time goes by to see if this is a long term fix to pad deposit problems.

Not yet - plan on it at some point. What about "OEM European" as an option? It's my first choice right now..

I would say so, that is not the stock pad on the use models. Just curious, with the prices on those, wouldn't you be open to trying one of the aftermarket pads first? I saw those but I am not paying over $200 an axle for pads that are not high performance race pads.

I think we've already had this discussion, but - $200 for "good" pads, as verified by track testing, in my book, isn't too bad. I already tried Hawk HPS and Stoptech on my Legacy, and both were underwhelming compared to Carbotech Bobcats. Also liked the R4-S pads I had on at the end. So far, the brakes are still good and haven't done much hard braking, so I'll wait until it gets more noticeable.

I'm not looking for pads that are low-dust ceramics, but not as good as stock, but just without deposits. I want an actual upgrade.

I guess I am a pioneer. I would have figured with all the reported brake problems someone else would have changed to different pads. I see numerous complaints on the Facebook Stinger groups as well.

I think a bunch of people have, just not necessarily responding here yet. How do you like the Gyrodisc pads?

They are about the same as stock pads on stopping power. Now that I put in the sway bars and the car feels more Agile I would like a bit more breaking power. I guess I will wait a while and see what others do as more options become available and more miles are on all our cars. People will start wearing out stock pads and be out of warranty for vibration problems so I think we will see more people going aftermarket, it is just early at this time.

I replaced with the Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramics. I have a couple thousand miles on these pads, including mountain drives. Excellent stopping power and no dust which helps keep my Hyper-Silver wheels looking amazing. IMO, truly the best of both worlds.

Full disclosure that I am using these with drilled and slotted rotors, so my results may vary widely from those with stock rotors.

Yeah, I'm barely at 400 miles. Will wait until problems develop, will see what dealer can do - maybe get me Euro pads at cost? :-)

Maybe you will be one of the lucky ones with no problem!

Hopefully we will see more feedback on these aftermarket brake parts. Glad they are working for you!
