• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Anybody have a recommendation on where to go to repair my Stinger? For my no-fault hit and run, I was thinking of taking it straight to Lee Johnson Kia, but thought there might be better options.

I took mine to Lakeside Collision in Kirkland when I had a mishap. They were recommended by my insurance, Geico.

Oh boy, if you take it to a body shop I hope you have good insurance.

Perfect. I also have Geico. Claims adjuster will be contacting me tomorrow.

On a related note, @General_Vodka did it take time for them to repair yours? Any backorder issues to be aware of?

Look on Google and Yelp for reviews, compare to other shops in the area. Call ahead to schedule drop-off based on parts availability, don't just drop it off and hope.

@namja I am the body shop ;) The $12000 GT2 stinger rebuild project
The rebuild quote from the original repaid estimate was over 26k. So far i am like 3-4k in and have already got all the "big ticket" items. Anyways insurance body shops will always quote super high, its how they make a profit.

Are you in the PNW?
Nope, a state down. In CA. Its hard here for auto shops, all the rent has gone up because everyone and their mom wants a shop so that they can grow weed in it! They are too stoned to care about the price. Make all that money back real quick anyways.... That's why in order to survive you have to make more money, so you quote dealer prices.

Nah I was asking here first because not many people have Stingers, and while I know it's just a vehicle, I just wanted to make sure they knew what they were doing. I did have in mind a couple repair shops that I worked with in the past (with a different car). Also I wanted to see if I could concurrently have them install some aftermarket parts!

Had mine taken care of at Uptown Autobody in Bremerton. They do good work and are a friendly bunch to deal with. Not sure how far out of the way that is for you, but maybe it's an option. I also have Geico and this body shop works with them all the time, so might make things a tad easier logistics wise.

While thankfully I have not had to take mine in, I have taken a car to Showcase Collision Specialists, not a lot of reviews on Google or Yelp, but if I needed body work I would go back there. They right across the street from the new Toyota of Kirkland, look for the multi-level car storage rack.

Their parking lot can be a bit crowded.
