What normally is an uneventful drive to work almost turned into a nightmare for me. While waiting to turn right on red (tons of traffic) I noticed the guy behind me was inching closer and closer to my rear bumper. I kindly left him in the dust when the traffic cleared and moved into the left lane to make a turn at the upcoming light. There was a car on my right just ahead of me when I saw Mr Impatient shoot over two lanes at a high rate of speed. Luckily we have decent brakes and I saw him. Needless to say, I chased him down two miles later only to see he was truly out of his mind and yelling to something that I couldn't see.

People are nuts.

Was he driving an Audi?

Glad nothing more happened. Some people need to chill out. Life is too short.

He was in like a 2007 Accord.

That’s why I run front rear dash cams now.

The last 5 years I’ve seen more crazy sh!t than anytime before.

People are getting worse. It’s to the point where even polite common sense discussions with a neighbor turns threatening. Like people are so self focused and hostile when politely challenged. I’ve had to add cameras to my house too because of the loons around me.

And I no longer even politely say “hi” to people as I walk by...had multiple people go off yelling.

Mental health is apparently a growing issue.

I once watched someone give a homeless guy some money, he then proceeded to stuff it into his mouth. People are weird.

The Stinger attracts attention for unwanted road racing! Last night heading home on my 22 mile trip, I had a new Civic SI attempt to bait me into a race and a GTI. I just stayed at my normal 78 MPH and let them take off on me.

In the U.S. with our unregulated, permissive gun laws (or lack thereof,) you are asking for trouble if you respond to a road rage baiting. Too many idiots carry guns in the car and are just looking for a chance to brandish them to intimidate others. I was a sheriff's deputy, I've see it all.

Whether it's guns, cars, knives or bare hands....people have just lost sense of decorum.....no respect for fellow man , no desire to be kind hearted....sad

Nothing to do with gun laws... 90% of gun crimes are not done with people who legally purchase weapons

Must be an American thing. I rarely see it here and if it does happen I’m sure the other person would only be yelling SORRY really loud...

Distracted driving is far worse.

And it’s also a plus to know that if I cut someone off by accident I’m not going to get shot.

Aggression behind the wheel is insane, from even the simplest things. The most common I see is speeding up to prevent you from changing lanes, but then slowing down if you choose to try and get behind them instead.

Yup. Almost got ran off the road the other day because the guy was angry (presumably) that I changed lanes in front of him. Even though I didn’t cut him off and wasn’t going slow... people suck.

I bet he was arguing with someone over Bluetooth.
Yup , he was fighting with his wife because she would' nt let him trade his crappy Accord for a Stinger !

See a corollary with cellphone use? I do. Most people talking/yelling have earpieces. Or they are yelling/gesticulating while driving. Imho, you are getting overly concerned about mental health if you think people en masse are behaving radically different from previously. Crime and accidents are on the national decline and have been for decades.

You've already been called on this assertion: but I too must do my citizen's duty and call this BS out. People who legally carry guns are among the most law abiding. When you are a hammer everything looks like a nail. Thanks for your service, but that kind of service takes its toll. You were dealing with idiots. What about all the 99 plus percent of drivers going on their way while you dealt with the idiots who had guns in their vehicles? We don't need more regulations targeting/infringing on the law abiding. The idiots and criminals will not be affected one iota by the calls for more regulations on gun rights: that's because they don't respect the rights of others to begin with. And more regulations (spelled l.a.w.s.) won't reduce much less stop crime.

The Medía is doing a very thorough job of brainwashing the public. 99% of all road rage incidents in the US do not involve weapons of any kind; and of those few which do involve brandishing or (God forbid) firing a gun, the perp is wielding his or her gun illegally. What you are implying by such a thoughtless statement is that a "world without guns" is the answer everywhere. I'm not going to launch into a rebuttal because it would turn into acrimony. Just know that millions of people treasure their individual right to effective self defense and will not be giving it up to satisfy a nanny state mentality of "protecting society".

At least in a Stinger you have the superpowers to make your chosen move as you wish. Let them have the road while they are in sight. It's much cheaper than a confrontation to prove the point. Otherwise you're just as guilty of ramping up an incident and inciting the road rage.

More likely, his wife took the fast/cool car and left him with the family beater. That would put me in a foul mood for sure!

I'm just glad he didn't actually hit me. For a second i considered running him into a pole from behind... then i thought better of myself. I was impressed with my ability to not commit a violent act.

Phooey! Guns aren't going anywhere (in the U.S.). Smartest thing we can do is be polite to everyone and also be prepared to defend ourselves.

Besides, if Kia didn't want us to carry guns they wouldn't have provided us with OEM rifle netting.

I have anger issues. Few do not. Anger flares before we feel it coming. Is any emotion quicker in manifesting? It's what we do with it that separates us from the animals. :D

I merely pulled alongside the last idiot to risk my car and gave him a long blast on the horns before roaring off, untouchable (as 90% plus of traffic has to allow the Stinger). Picking your moment to vent is a strategic decision: don't go tweaking the emotional "nose" of someone in a 911 Targa, for instance. Not smart. :D

It happens here, too. I recall getting into a very heated argument with a driver behind me who was giving me shit for stopping at a red light before making my right turn. After we made the turn, we stopped and got into it pretty good. There were no "sorry"s exchanged.

Probably a good things there were no guns available, though.

You think that having access to guns MAKES people start shooting? Manure. If that were true the US would be daily awash in blood. You want/need Nanny to take care of you; keep you from hoiting your whittle self.
