Parking Space Rage , when you park your Stinger or any other car far away at the far end of a car park where it's completely empty, and there are plenty of vacant parks, you walk all the way across the vacant car park to the store, when you return to your car, someone has parked right next to you...can relate to his frustration....exactly how i react when it happens to me....Enjoy.

If it's a nice vehicle, then I assume that they came next to mine to make sure that each of us has one 100% guaranteed safe side. I always park in an end stall for starters. If someone wants to park next to me with their cool car/truck, and they keep their distance (doors opening cannot reach), I'm okay.

I couldn’t have said it better myself. It happens to me all the time and when I come back it’s always a SUV. My next car will be an army tank, let’s see if they do the same then.

I do exactly the same thing & at least one side is safe.

I am a very strategic parker. Normally I park far away and hope that nobody parks beside me. If that is not an option, I try to park between two "nice" vehicles in the hopes they also care about their vehicle. I also scope out spots that have a vehicle parked too far over in their spot, giving extra space between my car and theirs. I also theorize if they may or may not have passengers and then park on their passenger side in the hopes they don't open those doors.

It's a process.

I feel obligated to respond with my one-time practice.
It was in an underground parking are with concrete support posts.
I found a bay next to one of these posts and spotted a construction site orange bollard.
The thought immediately came to mind to position this one in the vacant bay right next to my car which by chance had a small puddle of water sitting in it.
The family and i then went on inside the Mall to do some shopping.
We came back 3 hours later. All bays were occupied and cars were driving around searching for any free bay.
many cars made direct bee-lines for the empty space next to my car only to spot the orange construction cone, and to then change direction and carry on looking...
My son and i had a great laugh, put the cone in the back of our car and exited.
I use this cone strategically....

Any of us who experienced the Whittier quake ('87) know not to park next to an old brick building:


I've noticed that the only place at my neighborhood market where you don't see loose baskets rolling around is near the cart corral, so I always take an empty spot next to the corral if I can. At least I'm guaranteed extra space on one side and can park well within the line on the other side. Besides, in my area, every lot is full to the edges, so it's not like I can park out in the south 40 away from everyone.

Me too. Any parking lot that has shopping cart corrals are as good as an end stall.

It's new york! Lucky to have any parking space. Every other place has to park in metered areas.

Lol I hate New york, but I came for the opportunities and it has those. Everything else is a nightmare.

That's what I keep hearing. When I was "back east" for a wedding, way back when, I deliberately avoided NYC. DC was bad enough, and nothing by comparison, so I was told. I went through downtown Chicago once; crossed to the "black" side and back over the bridge. I've visited LA dozens of times, and only once did I deliberately dive through the downtown section. Even London: where I garnered a fine for some infraction caught by a nanny state camera and mailed weeks after getting back home; London was the worst. I hate big cities.

Btw, I saved your pic for my desktop picture/background changer. I renamed it "where's stingernyc". My grandson will love it.
