Paint Swirls on Midnight Black

You need a mild/light abrasive to clear the swirls. Just look for light abrasive. I used Polish Angel Escalate, but there are some cheaper products on the market.

I would then clay and then use a Paint Sealant. Poor Boys EX-P is good one, you can apply that in the sun as well, no need for shade. Coat it twice and its good as. It also makes cleaning the car a lot easier.

As i'm living with the stinger more and more it certainly has softer paint than my mk7 Golf, but not as soft as my beater 2005 acura TL. Sometime in the future when i develop some swirl marks it'll be interesting to see which pad and polish combo will work best. The bonus with softer paint is at least it is generally easier to remove imperfections... done enough cement paint BMWs and Audi's to have to use aggressive compounds and pads to get anywhere.

Polished and coated it myself ... made some mistakes and took longer than i thought but it was worth it ... my Black Stinger also had a ton of swirls scratches for a car thats only got 1200 miles ... still think its got way too many rock chips for it too

Gyeon Syncro ... on the car ... prob over did it used Menzerna 2400 for deeper scratches ... 3800 for finishing at first ... but then just used Gyeon Primer on the whole car (somehow that tiny bottle worked for the whole thing)

Really nice, great job! Hearing a lot of good things about gyeon syncro. Apparently that gyeon "skin" coating it comes with in the package is suppose to be absolutely absurd in its slickness, making water just run off or bead up amazingly easy.

The clear coat on my Stinger is fairly soft. It had quite a few minor swirls and water spots from the dealer but I'm finding them easy to remove with Menzerna medium cut polish. I was worried that I had water spot etching on the sunroof as no glass cleaning products (or even vinegar) were able to remove them but thankfully a quick pass with the same cut/polish made them completely disappear. I guess I caught them in time.

For ceramic coating, I've got some Gyeon Mohs + Cure which I haven't used before but hopefully it will add some good scratch resistance and hydrophobia. Even if you have a ceramic coating, you still need a very disciplined washing/drying/maintenance process to minimise swirls and scratches. There's lots of YouTube videos these days with tips.

Swirls on black car sucks, mine came from just trying to clean it. I ended using a cray bar and buffing, looked great after. For extra protection I took it and got nano coating done.

Wax on top of the coating ?

Most people say you don't put wax on top of coatings, you basically diminish the effectiveness of the coating in the first place. Coatings have a more slick surface than wax, so you get less dust build up and better hydrophobic properties. You already did an amazing job.
