• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi All,
One thing that has become very clear when talking to my dealer and reading posts is that dealers have no clue with regards to some issues that we as members have spoken about. I spoke to my dealer about the hatch rattles, subwoofer issues and heating pipe dangers that we have discussed and he had no clue about them.
I know we are enthusiasts but I would think if you want to be a great dealers you would want to be on this forum and known on this forum to get sales. There are no Australian dealers listed I think so I would like members to send the link to their dealer or talk to them.
Maybe if they keep in touch they can give better feedback to Kia itself about the car.
What do you all think?

Thank you for posting this up! I agree entirely. I think it's important for both Kia dealers and executives to be here seeing what's going on. I know the executives are here but they never like to show their face. Dealers, on the other hand, can benefit from doing so. And in the end, we all win as a result...

I sent a link about the seat bolsters wearing badly to Kia Australia after speaking with a guy there who told me he never heard about the problem. As to be expected, the email went unanswered. So many written and video reviews on the Stinger raved about exceptional after market service. Ummm.... I'm going to call BS on it after reading problems many of you have had.

Yep got it in one, customer service is crap.

The dealership names were lost in the cleanup, but I am pretty certain all 4 of the dealers I've been to "locally" had people participate here briefly, then disappeared, leaving threads unanswered. At least three of those still work at the same dealership - I know, because I've been back or get emails from them.

So if you find "the right sort" (name the movie) you might have some success, but I wouldn't expect much more participation than we have now.

I, for one, will be buying my Stinger from Jason in Muncie.

I have been to a lot of dealers to tell them about the forum. The issue is they don’t want customers to know too much about the car as it affects their sales. This is mainly due to the paint chip issue.

Stinger is an enthusiasts car. Even technophobic enthusiasts are online these days. Dealers unwilling to participate will be left behind.

I know my dealership knows about this place, because I told my sales rep about it when I gave my review of the paint issues among their Stingers inventory.

*you told your sales rep. That in no way means the "dealership" now knows.

That's true on the face of it. But this particular sales rep would not keep it to himself, if I am any judge of character. Anyway, who made me the Stinger Forum sheriff of the world?:P
