I bought the oval stinger badge, I can tell you that for the front of the car they dont sit flat.
The car is contoured the badge is not. So the badge wont lay flat. I constantly fish pine needles from the gap. Then there is the residual water that streams up the hood after a car wash. Also they are plastic($30)

You should purchase some crystal clear silicone caulk and run a small bead around the badge. You can purchase a caulk application tool to make it invisible and without overlay on your paint.
