OEM Wheel Weight!

TSW are definitely more than 10 lbs lighter than the OE GT rims. See previous posts about this.
I'm more curious if they took the stock wheel design and did a flow formed version to see what the weight difference may be. I think comparing two different designs and different manufacturing process is like comparing apples and oranges.
I do like TSW's Rotary Forged line, I have the Bathurst wheels on my NSX.

And they are not cheap, but a lot less than replacing a "boat anchor" OE rim. :p
A true, fully forged monoblock wheel will cost significantly more though.

I agree.

Rotary forged are lighter and you can feel it.
I'm not sure what the "feel" is supposed to feel like. I didn't get it when I swapped from my winter setup to the TSW "Watkins" and Michelins. But maybe I'll notice when I switch back to my "boat anchors" for winter, after eight or nine months on these TSW rims and summer tires.

In my other cars, lighter wheels were easier/quicker to accelerate and easier/faster to slow down. I would compare the "feel" to be something similar to having multiple people in the car vs just you alone.

I replaced my OEM 19" wheels with a set of TSW Interlagos with nearly identical spec's to OEM (19x8 +35mm front; 19x8.5 +45mm rear). I weighed them and got right at 21 lb. on the fronts and slightly under 21 lb. on the rear. I think the rear, while slightly wider, weighed less due to removal of more metal on the inside to give the greater offset. I haven't noticed that they handle better, but there is slightly more tire noise from the OEM Pilot Sport 4s that I swapped over--maybe due to much less mass (about 13 lb per wheel) between the tire and the car.

TSW Sprint 19" 23lbs. Don't ask me if it was the front or the back. I just saw the geyser put it on the scales when I asked.
