• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Northern Virginia Stingers

What about the 19th? I have been itching to go to Katies again. Anyone? :)
Same here. I should be able to make it on the 19th.

Anyone else receive an e-mail from SXTH Element Engineering about a server breach?

Yup, I did. I paid via PayPal though.

My '18 Stinger Premium AWD w/ Bridgestone A/S tires was crap in the snow. Since my 19 GT1 came with summers, and another NoVA forum member had an accident in light snow with his GT2 on all seasons last year, I decided to buy a set of Blizzak's pre-mounted on 18" wheels from Tire Rack. I'm going to swap out the wheels probably early to mid next month. My daily commute is 100 miles round trip (when it's my turn to drive in the carpool I'm in.)

One more quick thing. What offset did you get on the wheels from Tire Rack? I'm looking at packages now and reading some forum posts and I'm worried that a lot of the +40 offsets I'm seeing won't clear the Brembos. Thoughts?

I ordered the Sport Edition P5 wheels...says they are 38mm offset. I haven't tried fitting them to my Stinger yet. You have me concerned even though Tire Rack shows me these wheels as an option when I select my vehicle. Maybe someone else on here can help us figure out the offset thing....

@BertBert2019GT I think I might pass on Katie's this weekend... It's been a crazy week at work, plus I'll be watching the Nats tonight, so I'm anticipating enough beer such that "morning" will likely not be a thing

I did chat with Tire Rack people and they said as long as you choose a trim option that has Brembos, they test fit all of those wheels to the brakes and they will fit. I would hope they're right, but I have no idea.

After discussing Katie’s this weekend with @Luminary we are planning to arrive early to park in the display areas together—is anyone else interested?

We were thinking 6:45-7am but the more stinger owners interested the earlier the meeting time should be to guarantee open parking spaces beside each-other

I'll be there but I'm going to park by the grocery store. My car isn't show-ready just yet.

So it looks like my Stinger was sold at Chrysler of Culpeper last week. Maybe the person will show up on here.

Good news...the wheels I bought do fit. They clear the front brakes leaving about a finger width to spare. The only thing I didn't try though is the original lug nuts with the after market wheels. I didn't think of that until afterward.

Thanks for confirming this, as it is what pops up as the recommended winter package from tirerack today.

Did you go with the tirerack TPMS? and did they auto learn after install?

I did. I only test fitted one wheel to make sure the wheel cleared the brake...didn't test the TPMS

Absolutely. I will be there. No backing out now, my Babe is all clean and shiny. Break the fence @SnazZ and come join us.
