New to the club. Where can I get remote start?

So Hyundai, GM and I am sure a few others have remote start via phone apps and things like Bluelink or Onstar. Kia has the technology but wont release it to us in the states quite yet. Your best bet for remote start in my opinion if you already have your Stinger is going through the Dealership. Main reasoning for this albeit more expensive will save your warranty if anything goes crazy with the electrical system. Especially in this first year. Anything aftermarket has a hi risk of voiding the electrical warranty even if it is just remote start. I order all of my vehicles (above base level) with remote start as it is less expensive from factory. Not sure if this helps the initial question but if you need anything clarified let me know!

Thanks. good info. I will see about that, and how much it is.

Should be $450-$650. I haven't priced one on a Stinger yet but every other Kia with push to start is in that ball park. (Installed) Obviously this depends on what dealership and service department you go to but that will give you a range.

The Kia remote start is cheap garbage. Way better aftermarket versions for the price.
So do you have any information you can share with us please?

I'm sure that was the question........

I'm not going to look on Google and do the research for someone, if that is want you mean. I can tell you I looked at the Kia system for my optima. It is just a cheap unit that is made by a 3rd party and rebranded as Kia. I found the exact same unit online for just over $100. I ended up with a compustar drone system as I wanted to start it with my phone and not have a different fob. I can't remember what I paid but it seems like it was around 200.

Where can I get a remote start for my new Stinger. Outside the dealer, after market?
From what I've been told and after having an SXL Optima and now a GT it needs to be a factory aftermarket install, as from experience a generic aftermarket remote start can screw up and doesn't play well with Kia's push button start and ignition system, the last time I priced one for my last Kia was over 600 hundred US.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If I may chip in a bit. Just for information, I guess, but I saw this on a Korean site, say it works with the Stinger.

I can't fully understand the description, only what Chrome can translate but it seems to be what you were talking about.

Costs 250,000KRW (~220-230USD) including installation.

Why would you need a remote start past a parking heater? :)

Remote start via UVO (in the US) is probably the most disappointing omission for me. I don't want to carry another fob.

Maybe we will get it in the 2019 version. Kia is also getting Google Assistant support so you would be able to start car by voice. That would be awesome.

With the stock Kia remote start they can apparently sync it to your factory key fob. Someone said you hold down the lock button and it will remote start. It beats caring around a separate fob!

That's what I plan to do when I get my Stinger if they still do not have UVO access.

Roommate has this in Lexus IS. Doesn't have takeover option (meaning restart required once inside), but that might be a Lexus thing, since the factory remote start was the same way. Does have start from phone app, or separate fob (uncertain if Lexus key can be programmed to control it).

What version of aftermarket one did u go with if any
