New Stinger POV test Drive >>>

Are those the new base headlamps? The replacement for the halogen ones? I am so confused by the trim levels in the US.
Really sad to see carplay doesn't use the whole display.. makes the upgrade less attractive.

Do iPhones support different aspect ratios?

Yes. The GT-Line and GT1 have the over and under DRL arrangement. Only the GT2 continues with the original headlights.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

You can't customize much on apple carplay. If the headunit supported widescreen carplay the phone would have automatically switched itself to widescreen. It might be disabled for lower spec Stingers to encourage you to buy the higher trim. European manufacturers do this all the time :).
I have a friend with a merc e-class coupe that has the same problem. The carplay does not fill the whole screen. Later models of the same e-class, with the same size display, use carplay in landscape.

It's obvious that it is in landscape in the video, otherwise it'd be tiny. What I was curious was whether Apple's apps would stretch to a longer (than landscape) aspect ratio.

Sorry, meant to say "widescreen" in the last sentence as well. In my language it's the same word for "widescreen" and "landscape" :).
Apple carplay offers widescreen automatically but it's up to the car's head-unit to support it. I am quite surprised that the Stinger doesn't since Hyundai Palisade and Kia Soul do. Here is a pic from a Palisade. It seems they have/had the same issue with android auto.

Thank you this is exactly my question - the only reason the odd mid-year 2022 GT1 seemed the better choice was the larger display and when I plugged my phone in on the test drive I saw that it only uses 2/3 of the screen! Wtf?
