New Recall - February 2021

That's good!! so far my experience has only been oil changes at the dealer and those have been under 30 min... they told me 60 min for this procedure.... i hope it's not 4 hours !! I will be taking my computer and working but i would rather not sit there for that long :D
Merp derp! Like I have mentioned in other threads I only go to the dealerships for warranty repairs and recalls required... nothing more and nothing else... :p

From what I have seen the few times I have been at the dealership oil changes take anywhere from 60 to 120 minutes for the locals... WITH appointments lmfao!

Once they figured out the parts and got the car in the bay, it only took them 90 minutes to do it, no issue with the actual tech work, just the communication sucked.

Every visit, no matter what brand. I always tell them no car wash.

Why?!?!? o_O

I always get the free exterior car wash when I brought my Kia to the dealership...
It's a forum lack of trust thing: most of us expect the dealer to scratch something the more that they handle the car.

Free swirl marks.

Stupid question coming from a stupid (me) person! :p

I had the recall performed on the 25th. I was given the paperwork after the clowns were done saying it was completed. Today (moments ago) I went back to the NHTSA website and it still states that my vehicle is due for this recall.

Hmm?

Lag time. It's the Internet. Hah. :P

Check if they put a fuse sticker(20 or 25 amp I forgot) inside the fuse cover.

It took about 2 weeks before the Takata air bag recall went away from my carfax on our bmw

just had the recall done. They had me in and out in under an hour and 40 min.

I called my local dealership for the recall and I actually spoke with the service manager for my booking. During the conversation I asked if they needed to order the parts? He said yes but I was surprised when he said I could come in anytime, so we booked it for 3 days later.

Faster forward to my appointment...

So last Thursday I dropped off the car because I live close to the dealer. They called me 30mins after dropping the car off and said they didn't have the part in and we would need to reschedule without any time frame on when the part would be in..... Ugh... I have very little faith in Kia Service in general but here is just another example of mismanagement.

You're (not even joking) probably the 15th person I have seen share a similar story on here or another forum I frequent about going to the dealership after making an appointment and the part not being there... lmfao... sorry to hear though! Super duper annoying to say the least! :/

idk what's worse... we waiting over four and half hours (closer to give) for them to do the recall job... or if I came to my scheduled appointment just to be told half an hour later (after taking time off work) that the part isn't there...

made an appointment a month away....plenty of time for parts, and the car to catch fire....

Doesn't mean they will actually order the parts. They may think you are just coming in for the "inspection", at which time they will say (which you already know) that it needs the recall done and to come back after they order the parts.
