A taxi (a.k.a. "cab" for Yankees) picked me up at my home and I went out through the garage. He spotted my Stinger and asked me how I was liking my Jaguar. Told him it was a KIA and he didn't believe me until he actually walked into my garage to double-check the badge on the front! The new property assistant manager at our apartment told me the other day he loves my new Maserati
I had "K" skins front and read for a couple of years. Then I took them off and have enjoyed displaying the standard KIA. And the attention I get is the same: very rarely does anyone engage me in conversation or say anything at all. It has been this way from the start.I've considered testing the de-badging idea by putting the Kia symbol back up front but am lazy.![]()

HAVE YOU GUYS RACED EACH OTHER? sorry for capsMy wife and I are asked about both ours pretty frequently. Just last night I took my wife's scorpion to O'Reilly's (needed a shallow well 10mm for the spark plug change on mine and drove hers to keep my engine cold - but I digress) and I was stopped by one of the other customers to ask me all about it.
Of course, I was MORE than happy to tell him about how much we love those cars - so much so that we both bought one. He said they always caught his eye and after the chat with me he thought he and his wife needed to go test drive one.
Hopefully he becomes another satisfied Stinger driver. *grin*
We haven't. It's no contest to be honest - have a look at the mod comparison in my sig. I would gap her at 3/4 throttle since I'm running map3 on the daily. Though, we could with mine in map0 - just for the heck of it. (grin)HAVE YOU GUYS RACED EACH OTHER? sorry for caps
With production of the Stinger coming to a close after Q1 in 2022 (the 3 factories that produce the Stinger are converting to the EV6)... the Stinger should become and even rarer car.....possibly a collectible. There hasn't been a car in years that can be tuned so easily......thanks to JB4 and more. They are straight up beautiful machines.
I still stare at mine too much from time to time lol., Its definitely going to be a big-time gut check this spring when the lease is up. - Step into something else or keep it… I am torn.
I just love this car too much.
Think I’ll go take it for another spin and contemplate.

Close but no cigarMy wife needed to get covid tested due to work and a very elderly woman whos performing the drive through tests says "Wow what a beautiful car, is it a stingray?" Lmao
You done well, very nice carI started this thread a bit after I bought my 2018 GT2 AWD Stinger about 2 years ago. About 4 months ago I sold it for almost as much as I bought it. I loved that car and I miss it. It was time to move on to something else as I do enjoy a different car every few years. Now I am on the other side of this, I turn my head at every stinger I see and reminisce of all the great time I had with it. I put 40,000 miles on the car the nearly 2 years I had it. About a month after selling the Stinger I picked up a new 2021 Black Hyundai Veloster N with a 6 speed manual.
Now before you guys mention how much of a downgrade it is and yes in certain aspects it is. The car is cheaper, less features, DAMN do I miss my ventilated seats. In a straight line the stinger would walk the VN no problem, especially with my skills driving stick hah. The Veloster N makes up for it in other areas. The car is mental going around corners, I took my stinger on the Back of the Dragon and while it did alright, the Veloster N felt like it was twice as fast and very stable. I should also say I had the Borla exhaust on my Stinger and I felt it was still not loud enough and it just felt like it needed more which of course is my opinion, it's a GT not a Sports car. The Veloster exhaust is just so much fun. I'm a child and those pops, bangs and crackles puts smiles on my face.
Maybe after having my Veloster for a few years and if I some how get a kid or 2 on the way, I may look back at the Stinger platform but until then, I'll be snapping my neck checking out your Stingers as we pass by. View attachment 63702
