I have 2020 GT. Since the purchase, I have had problems with the brakes - handle vibration while braking. The dealer looked at it and I wrote numerous times to Kia. In my conversations, it seems to be a known problem to the dealer and Kia; however, none of them is accepting responsibility to repair the issue under warranty. After numerous emails with Kia, they finally came back indicating that it is an user issue and not the manufacturer. Now I am ready to just put in a new brake system (rotors and pads). I don't want to spend too much on it ... maybe under $1,000. I would like some recommendations as to the most appropriate brand or specific parts you had good experiences with. Thank you.

Crap. A flat refusal to accept warranty work on brake vibration is rare. You must have well in excess of 12K miles. Even then, earlier on at least, Kia would often replace pads/rotors (or turn rotors) as a "good will gesture" outside of warranty.

There are a lot of pad and rotor recommendations on the forum. This is my go-to thread for if/when I need to get aftermarket. FAQ: Vibration under braking: warped rotors? NO!

When I got home from the dealer, I already changed the brake pads.

It will happen again until you change the pads. Get rid of that stock pads right away.
