Need help with ambient lighting

Hello everyone, I hade the same problem with my Stinger. The Ambient lights just stopped working one day and the settings disappeared. I fixed the problem by turning off the fuse box on the left of the steering wheel, remove the fuse MODULE 1, check for good fuse/connection across. Fuse was good so I plugged it back in. Turn On the fuse box.

After starting the car the settings for ambient lights came back and the lights are now working.

Hope this can help some of you

I may be wrong here, @Kamauxx, but I never noticed it being on at night. I'll check and offer an apology if I'm wrong. Maybe just the floor lighting goes out....hard to see the little glovelight strip while driving.
Maybe this was already answered. But you can also control the level of the ambient lighting, so maybe it is set to minimum and you are having trouble seeing it. But mine is set to max and I can see it anytime I'm either in a dark area (tunnel, etc) or at night.

Please help me I can’t figure out what fuse your talking about and the dealership is saying the 2.0 doesn’t have this feature... I’m 1000% sure I have changed the color of the lights...

Not sure if you managed to fix this already but I had a similar experience with the Wireless Charging option. One day it just disappeared from the menu. The dealer tried to diagnose and even updated the firmware. No luck. What fixed it in the end was just a factory reset from the menu in between the dials. It just appeared back in the menu after the reset. Maybe this could fix your problem.

Confirmed this FIX worked on my '18 Stinger GT2-thank you so much. I just told the dealership-they were like what fixed it!

I did a factory reset within the gauge cluster-all personalized settings for each option is back to factory. The pull out and re-install the fuse didn’t do anything else except make the ambient lighting available. At least I didn’t see any other change.

I tried this, but it didn't restore the ambient lighting option in the menu. I brought it to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out either. Eventually, they opened a TechLine call, shipped the guage cluster to California (to read the odometer), and installed a brand new cluster. It doesn't fix anything. Cost Kia over $6000 to try something that I told them wouldn't work.

I tried this but it didn't do anything. I brought it in to the dealer and they couldn't figure it out either. They opened a TechLine case and were advised to ship the gauge cluster to California so the odometer could be read. A new cluster was shipped back and installed but it also did nothing. It cost Kia over $6000 to try something that I told them didn't have a snowball's chance in hell of working.

Update:
It took the dealership over 6 weeks (I was close to getting a buyback from Kia), but they finally fixed my ambient lighting. They had to tear out the whole dashboard. The tech found that the wire for the ambient lighting had been rubbing on something for years and was cut. They replaced the wire and secured it so it's not rubbing anymore. It probably cost Kia $15000 to fix but it's working fine now.

My ambient lighting also stopped working a few days ago on my 2022 stinger. I've only had it for 3 weeks..I spoke to the dealership. I'm probably gonna try to remove the fuse and see if that works
